I know some people don't mind household gifts, but we've always been about personal gifts. As an ancient person, I'm just glad to be remembered. It's hard for me to imagine a "bad" Christmas gift. I'm lucky because even though my kids are scattered, we're close in our hearts - and I love all the Christmas gifts I get, including the gift of just a call - like the call I just got from my son and fam in Europe. I know many people of my age who aren't remembered, so I'm grateful.
The worst Christmas gift I could everget, would be the dreaded Fruit Cake!! ICK!!
Another terrible gift (IMO) would be a Chia Pet..
