I said don't use the leftist definition of "I don't like their ideas".

Most Americans have no idea of who this person is, including me. I had to google the name. Only those with an infatuation with OAN know who he is.

Now, again, ...name ONE actual traitor

With no evidence he accused the president of the United States of a war crime.

The pos Pearson Sharp is a traitor.

He has to join a growing list of other right wingers in that category though.

I don't think he's a traitor, that term has a very definite definition and what he has done does not meet that level.

He is IMO however one stupid POS who seems to be still searching for his 15 minutes of fame.  I didn't know who he was, don't listen to OAN.  It's sad that this type of rhetoric is broadcast but as was said in a movie,

"You want free speech? Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, who's standing center stage and advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours." The American President,  President Shepherd

Yes, it's only a quote from a movie.  But perhaps it's also a message that more people need to hear and understand.

“Treason against the United States, shall consist only in  levying war against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort ." - Article III, § 3 US Constitution

Would Pearson Sharps comments insinuating that an American President intentionally bombed a maternity ward give "aid and comfort" to Russia, the war criminals behind the actual bombing?

I think the answer is a resounding "Yes!"

Same with any of the other Americans who've had their recent comments replayed by the Kremlin and used in their propaganda war and disinformation campaign. Strange how the ones trying to defend Russia and their evil and illegal attack on Ukraine seem to come from one ideological perspective, right wing conservatism. Perhaps it's because their ideals of white right wing Christian fascism so closely mirror the white nationalist right wing fascism Putin has birthed in Russia and their shared hatred of gays, minorities, liberals and progressives.

“The question of the American right’s support for Putin and Russia is a complex, many-layered issue,” Devin Burghart, president of the Institute for Research and Education on Human Rights.

“There is an attraction to Putin’s hardline authoritarian stance and his aggressive foreign policy. Others are attracted to the brand of traditionalist Christianity Putin has expressed. Some like Putin’s attacks on the Russian LGBTQ community.”

Former President Donald Trump, who has voiced admiration for Putin for years, appeared to praise the Russian leader’s advances  days before the invasion  on February 24, calling the moves “smart” and “savvy”.

"This is Genius" "Putin is now saying, 'It’s independent,' a large section of Ukraine. I said, 'How smart is that?' And he’s gonna go in and be a peacekeeper... We could use that on our southern border." - Donald Trump

" it might be worth asking yourself, since it is getting pretty serious: What is this really about? Why do I hate Putin so much? Has Putin ever called me a racist? Has he threatened to get me fired for disagreeing with him?” - Tucker Carlson

Support for the Russian leader among some American evangelicals dates back to the 1990s, when they began noticing Russia’s renewed embrace of Christianity in the aftermath of the Cold War, said Sarah Posner, author of UNHOLY: Why White Evangelicals Worship at the Altar of Donald Trump.

“Russian leadership post-communism was embracing this idea of Russia as a Christian nation,” Posner told Al Jazeera. Autocrats like Putin, she said, “are seen as model leaders now that America has become too liberal. Over time you start to see that trickle down to the base.”

In 2013, for example, Russia enacted   an anti-LGBTQ law   that banned “propaganda” that promoted “nontraditional” relationships for children. Franklin Graham, the son of the late Reverend Billy Graham, praised Putin for the law restricting speech around LGBTQ issues, arguing that it gave Russia the high ground above the US, which had “abdicated our moral leadership”.

We just have to accept that there are many right wing conservatives even here in America who are really birds of a feather with a murderous dictator and fascist war criminal.

Initially when this war started I assumed all the right wing love for Putin was just a way to oppose and try to embarrass Biden. But on further review I think that view underestimates what is really going on. The Trump right has a philosophical connection and affinity for the Putin personality and worldview.

If you "levy" or start, impose, go to war with the United States OR give the United States enemies "aid and comfort" then you qualify as a traitor. We do not have to be at war for our country to have an enemy. Putin and his regime are an enemy of the United States, pure and simple. Putin desperately desires to not only embarrass, weaken and humiliate the United States as he feels we did to Russia, he wants to destroy western democracy. If you're an American giving Putin and his loyal dogs aid and comfort, then you're a fucking traitor.

Biden Is Sponsoring a 'False Flag Operation' in Ukraine, Alleges OAN

The far-right One America News Network (OAN) has accused President   Joe Biden   of staging an attack on a Ukrainian maternity hospital to divert attention from U.S. domestic issues.

The horrific bombing of a hospital in Mariupol last week left adults and children beneath piles of rubble, Ukrainian President   Volodymyr Zelensky   said. However, Russian media and government officials claim the attack was staged, and OAN agrees.

In a video clip   that has since gone viral, OAN host Pearson Sharp claims the hospital attack was a ruse supported by the Biden administration.

"It looks like we have the makings of yet another false flag operation, this time in the far-flung land of Ukraine where Biden and his cronies are desperately trying to cook up more conflict to distract from their monumental failures here in America," Sharp said.

It’s not shocking that OAN said this - it’s shocking that top elected Republicans appear on this channel without any consequence or opprobrium - and the last Republican president welcomed their ‘reporter’ into the briefing room and gave her ample time for ‘questions’.   — Mehdi Hasan (@mehdirhasan)   March 17, 2022

Without citing any sources to support his claims, Sharp says the U.S. has a past dotted with false flags, which he has investigated.

"The United States has a long, storied history of conducting false flag operations in pursuit of its own political agenda and whether it's starting a war, invading another country, or finding an excuse to sneak out hundreds of tons of gold bullion from a toppled Libyan dictator, the corrupt corporate media lapdogs will gladly offer up a cover story for any false flag operation Washington needs," Sharp said at the beginning of the segment.

Sharp claimed he "personally investigated and exposed" false flag gas attacks in Syria in 2017 to frame President   Bashar al-Assad   as a "mass-murdering tyrant." However, claims suggesting the operation was designed to trigger America's involvement in the war were never proven true.

Sharp went on to say that the Ukraine bombing occurred to make Russia look bad. He suggested that Zelensky's announcement of the tragedy would have been a lot more convincing if he "didn't have   George Soros ' hand up his back, moving his mouth," like a puppet.

"Well, it turns out that the Russians,   Democrats ' favorite adversary, blew up a hospital, killing several people, including a child," Sharp said. "The latest report from the corporate media warhawks is that a maternity ward in Mariupol, Ukraine, was bombed indiscriminately, which has naturally sparked a global outrage."

Sharp insisted that the situation must be investigated and he played a clip of Russian officials denying the bombing. Sharp said it's his duty as a journalist not to rush to conclusions.

Newsweek   reached out to OAN and the Biden administration for comment.

Baseless OAN attack on Ketanji Brown Jackson echoes QAnon conspiracy theory

3-4 minutes

KARA MCKINNEY (HOST): Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri made a deep dive into the judicial record of Team Biden's Supreme Court nominee. Yesterday, he tweeted his findings. Quote, “I've been researching the record of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, reading her opinions, articles, interviews and speeches. I've noticed an alarming pattern when it comes to Judge Jackson's treatment of sex offenders, especially those preying on children,” end quote. In 17 follow-up tweets, Hawley documented a pattern of light sentencing for child porn offenders, often against federal sentencing guidelines. For instance, Hawley pointed out, in the case of   United States v. Stewart , the criminal possessed thousands of images of child porn and sought to travel across state lines to abuse a 9-year-old girl. The guidelines called for a sentence of eight to 10 years. Judge Jackson sentenced the criminal to less than five years. Joining us now to discuss is the deputy managing editor of RedState and host of   RedState LIVE! , Brandon Morse. Thanks for being here tonight, Brandon.

BRANDON MORSE (DEPUTY MANAGING EDITOR, REDSTATE): Hey, thanks for having me.

MCKINNEY: Great. So, do you think that this is another story that will be totally ignored by the corporate media?

MORSE: Oh, absolutely. They have been doing their absolute best to try to eliminate any substantial talk about the pedophilia problem that is currently in the left and especially the radical left. They have been trying to make this almost a normal thing for some time. And if they come down hard on it, then it’ll reinforce the idea to society that pedophilia is a bad thing. And it is a very bad thing. It should be come down on hard. But they're not.

And I'm afraid that the reason that they're not doing this is because there's probably more pedophiles, or at least people who are friendly to pedophiles out there, than we might think in positions of power, especially on the left. You know, you had a ton of people suddenly go into hiding or shut up, you know, once Jeffrey Epstein was back in the spotlight for this. And it's scary to think that you have a lot of these leftists, these Democrats, politicians, activists, media figures who have been caught, or who have been trying to ease the pain of any of these pedophiles who are to be -- who should be suffering for their crimes. You see this a lot, lately.

And it's scary to think that this new judge that's come up here is one of these people who is going to be very kind to them. It’s scary to think. And you have to wonder why Joe Biden or any of the Democrats, whoever his handlers are, are wanting to put her in charge. She’s clearly got a very scary history when it comes to pedophilia, or at least handling people who are pedophiles. It's one more drop in the bucket when it comes to dealing with the left and their problem with pedophilia.

That is so in a long comment section threads can be collapsed.

Like that means there is two comments made to yours. The two (comments), the minus is you can hit it and it collapses the two comments. Likewise, if you see a plus, where the minus is, you can expand.

www.benzinga.com   /general/entertainment/22/03/26169241/donald-trump-lashes-out-at-media-companies-for-dropping-oan-news-heres-the-latest

Donald Trump Lashes Out At Media Companies For Dropping OAN News:

A conservative media company that has been praised by former President   Donald Trump   has found itself on the outs with cable companies. Trump is lashing out at the those companies in the latest battle.

What Happened:   One America News Network   was launched in July 2013 and has been widely recognized as a “far-right” and “pro-Trump” cable channel.

The network has been   removed   from several cable companies’ packages, including   DirecTV , which is majority owned by   AT&T Inc   T .

“Time Warner, the owner of Fake News CNN, has just announced that they will be terminating a very popular and wonderful news network (OAN),” Trump   said   in a statement. “Between heavily indebted Time Warner, and Radical Left Comcast, which runs Xfinity, there is a virtual monopoly on news, thereby making what you hear from the LameStream Media largely FAKE, hence the name FAKE NEWS!” he declared.

Trump's criticism was targeted mainly at Time Warner, a unit of AT&T, but also hit at   Comcast Corp   CMCSA , which Trump also called “terrible and expensive.”

“Demand that OAN be allowed to stay on the air," he said. "It is far bigger and more popular than anyone knows, and importantly, it represents the voice of a very large group of people!”

DirecTV informed OAN earlier this year it would not renew a carriage deal, and the channel is set to be removed from the package next month.

Why It’s Important:   The statements from Trump come as he has launched his own media company called   Trump Media & Technology Group , which is going public with   Digital World Acquisition Corp   DWAC .

The new Trump company   launched   TRUTH Social , a new social media platform aimed at taking on   Twitter Inc   TWTR   and   Meta Platforms   FB   unit Facebook. In the   presentation   for the SPAC deal, Trump Media & Technology said it planned on launching a traditional media outlet to take on networks like CNN.

YouTube, a unit of   Alphabet Inc   GOOG GOOGL   previously suspended OAN for violating its coronavirus misinformation policy.

OAN has   filed   a lawsuit against AT&T and DirecTV. The lawsuit showed that AT&T has an exclusive deal to sell commercials for OAN through a subsidiary. OAN is seeking $1 billion in damages in the lawsuit, which alleges politics played into a decision to remove the network from DirecTV.

The court records unveiled that 90% of OAN’s revenue comes from relationships with AT&T and DirecTV.

OAN being dropped by the cable companies could hurt the company going forward, as it depends on carriage deals to ensure viewership and advertising revenue.

“These allegations are completely without merit,” AT&T said in a statement.

AT&T stated it has never had a financial interest in OAN’s success. AT&T’s subsidiary   Xandr   gets a commission on commercials aired on OAN, according to the lawsuit and a Reuters report. Xandr is being   acquired   by   Microsoft Corp   MSFT , a deal that is said not to include the portion of the company that helps in selling commercials for DirecTV or OAN.

AT&T is expected to continue to be the advertising partner for OAN even after the DirecTV deal ends, with an expiration date in 2024.
