The Elusive NFC Home Field Advantage.

Hello Football fans!

Looks like the number one seed in the NFL Playoffs is coming down to the final day of the season for the NFC.

One week to go and the Team currently holding serve for HFA is the Seattle Seahawks

Next Runner up, The Green Bay Packers

Second Runner up, The Detroit Lions

Third Runner up, The Arizona Cardinals

Fourth Runner up The Dallas Cowboys

Scenarios:

#1 The Seahawks, they win and they have the NFCW crown and a first round bye, GB/Det does NOT end in a tie and they have the #1 Seed and HFA. The easiest road to HFA for all the NFC teams.

#2 The Packers, need to win and need the Seahawks to lose and they have the #1 Seed and HFA. Second easiest road to HFA.

#3 The Lions, need to win and have the Seahawks AND Cardinals lose and they have the #1 Seed and HFA. Third easiest road to HFA.

#4The Cardinals, need to win and have the Seahawks AND Packers lose and they have the #1 Seed and HFA. Fourth easiest road to HFA.

#5 The Cowboys, need to win and have theCardinals lose AND GB/Det end in a tie. The toughest road to the HFA. The Packers/Lions is a must win for both teams for the NFCN division title and a first round bye and any shot at HFA.

Dallas is the only team with a chance at HFA that does not require a Seattle loss, but does require an almost impossible scenario to play itself out.

Of course, With the Bronco's loss to the Bengals, the road to the super bowl in the AFC goes thru Foxboro.

The Seahawks are 8-1 over their last 9 games since starting 3-3, the hottest team in football at this point and stand as the best hope (and favorite) for a repeat appearance in the Super Bowl over the last decade.

Even Al Michaels called them the most complete team in the NFL this year.

Personally, I would love to see the Lions kick the stuffing out of the Packers, if anything to knock them off that pedestal the sports media puts them on every year. I don't fault a team for tough wins and losses, and the Lions have had a few this year.

The lions will be a tough out for anyone at this point.

My only regret is the Eagles are not in it. I think they are better than either of the options from the NFCS.

Yeah I guess you could call me one. My hope and dream this playoff? Is to see those Dallas Cowboys come back for a repeat visit to the Clink. If anything to shut those girlyboy fans up. You know they already have the 'Boys winning it all? They are insufferable with their claims that they kicked our butts here at home. They must not have watched the same game the rest of us did. Dallas escaped the Clink with a win. I don't fault them that they earned it, but their fans claim they pushed us all over the field, which just didn't happen. If not for one of the luckiest miracle catches I have seen in a long time, they would have been crying in their soup.

We WANT the Cowboys.

If the Patriots want it they had better sharpen up that defense.

Yep they did, they had it all in their hands.

But that is the thing with the Packers this year, dominant against teams with an average defense, weak against a team with a solid defense. Love to host them back at the Clink again also.
