5-year-old Michigan girls donate hair for children with cancer
A trio of 5-year-olds in Michigan is teaming up to help children with cancer this holiday season by donating their hair.
Ava, Sari and Jenna, all friends who live in the Keego Harbor, Mich. area, went to get their locks chopped for charity without any coaxing from their parents.
I love donating my hair, Jenna told MyFoxDetroit.com.
Im excited, Ava told the station.
The girls hope their hair will wind up in the hands of another little girl who needs it so that she feels special.
Im going to donate my hair, because it would be a nice thing to do [for] kids that dont have any hair, Sari told MyFoxDetroit.com.
While the girls are looking forward to opening gifts of their own on Christmas morning, they also are excited for someone to receive a new wig.
Theres little girls who are sick and they need hair, Jenna told the news station, later adding, Merry Christmas.
I'm sure their parents are extremely proud of them..I'm proud of them!!
Kudos to the girls.
Only 5 years old, and they are thinking of someone besides themselves...what a great bunch of kids!!
