Joe Biden's Approval Rating Latest Lowest for Any President
The president's sixth quarter approval rating of 40 percent is lower than Donald Trump's was during the same period.

Joe Biden approval ratings have sunk to an all-time low in the most recent Gallup Poll, with just 38 percent of people happy with the job the president is doing.

The July survey is the first time that Biden's approval rating has fallen below 40 percent in Gallup's monthly polls since he took office in January 2021.

A follow up question found that 45 percent of Americans "strongly" disapprove of Biden's performance, compared to just 13 percent who strongly approve.

Biden's sixth quarter approval rating of 40 percent—covering April 20 through July 19—is also the lowest of any president in modern history dating back to Dwight Eisenhower.

Biden's low approval ratings have occurred as the country has experienced record high gas prices—although they have now started to come down—and amid fears the U.S. is about to enter—or is already in—a recession as inflation hit a four-decade high of 9.1 percent in June.

By comparison, Donald Trump's sixth quarter approval rating was 42 percent, the same as the equal previous lowest score that Jimmy Carter had in 1978.

Biden's sixth quarter approval rating is the first time that it has been lower than Trump's score during the same quarter.

Former President George W. Bush had the highest sixth quarter average at 75 percent, with Gallup polls around that time showing the Republican's approval ratings in the mid- to high 90s.

When broken down further, Biden is also seeing a joint all-time low with regards to support from Democrats. According to July's Gallup poll, 78 percent of Democrats approve of Biden's presidency, the lowest since he recorded the same points in December 2021.

Less than one third (30 percent) of Democrats say they strongly approve of Biden, with nearly half (45 percent) of all voters polled saying they strongly disapprove of the job he's doing as president. Nearly the same amount of Independents (43 percent) also say they strongly disapprove of Biden, with an overwhelming 87 percent of Republicans giving the same view.

Biden's continually plummeting approval ratings have started to raise concerns from his own party with regards to the upcoming midterms, as well as the 2024 election.

A number of other polls have also found that a majority of voters do not want the 79-year-old to run again in the next election, with a recent New York Times/Sienna College survey revealed that 64 percent of Democratic voters said they would prefer a new candidate over Biden.

According to FiveThirtyEight, Biden's national average approval rating currently stands at 39.7 percent, an improvement on his all time low of 37.5 percent recorded July 21, but way down from the low to mid-50s he was enjoying during the first several months of his presidency.

The Gallup poll of 1,013 adults was conducted between July 5 and July 26. The margin of error is plus or minus 4 percentage points at the 95 percent confidence level.

Here is what Americans really think about Biden and his performance.

Good news for America, bad news for Democrats.

As one poster so aptly puts it: "America is in trouble".

This is why--Joe Biden.

America is "in trouble" because of MAGA, a group of pseudo patriots fueled almost exclusively by conspiracy theories, bigotry ,and misinformation.

Are the Dem's and Independents blaming Joe for MAGA?  Since June's polling, Biden approval has dropped 7% among Democrats and 5% among independents.

jrSmiley_10_smiley_image.gif The fiction is strong in this one.  He can't even deflect successfully.  But then again, he does support the failure in the WH.

Gee, what must that 36% of Biden supporters be thinking

Or are they at all?

I would guess many are thinking either "Oh s#*t, we're in trouble!" or "It's all lies!".
