Morning..don't actually have a favourite Christmas album but do have a song..

Driving home for Christmas...by Chris Rea..the video clip is in snow and ice...

Bit strange as we have sun, heat and dust...🎄🎄🎄🎄

But there is a video.. Aussie jingle bells by Bucko and Champ.. the original.

That is quite funny and pretty well sums up an Aussie Christmas..

Sorry my skills on the mobile aren't up to coping links...anyone? 🎄🎄🎄🎄

Yes, long before he went off of the deep end.  I always wondered if it was a combination of PTSD from his horrific traffic accident plus drugs/alcohol.

A Christmas Gift For You is considered the first rock n roll Christmas album, although there had been singles before this, notably Jingle Bell Rock and Rockin Around The Christmas Tree.

Thanks, I didn’t realize that.  I have an Uncle that lived with me for a while and he turned me on to this and other late 50’s and early 60’s music.

Here is the full album.  I especially love hearing my dear friend, Hal Blaine's incredible drumming, especially on Santa Claus is Coming to Town.  It completely blows me away every time I listen to it.

I used to get angry when I struggled to get the lights on the tree to my satisfaction.  I would do this myself, late on the night before my family would decorate it. It got better after I discovered this mellow album.

Chet Baker was an exceptional musician who couldnt overcome a heroin addiction and died at a relatively young age. I didnt know he had a Christmas album. I'll have to listen to this.

Yes, I think he died shortly after this album was recorded in New Orleans.

American Indian Christmas by Jana Mashonee. Each Christmas favorite is sung in a different native language.

This one is ''Winter Wonderland'' sung in Ojibwe.

Not a Christmas song, but it is very evocative of the winter season, in my opinion.
