Top Songs Of 2022
You Tube Music has a playlist that they call the Billboard Top 100 songs of 2022. I picked out some by names I recognized, and that was my only criteria.
I have to be honest, I liked many of these songs more than I expected to.

The problem with these lists is that they are very subjective. I didn't find a single song that I would even remotely consider good. But then again, pop is not my choice of genres.
Other "best songs of 2022" lists include
Babymetal - Monochrome
Slipknot - They Dying Song
Megadeth - We'll Be Back
The Hu - This is Mongol
Metallica - LUX ÆTERNA
Sabaton - Soldier of Heaven
Arch Enemy - The Watcher
Ozzy Osbourne - Patient Number 9
well, the billboard hot 100 has ALWAYS pertained to pop music.
They have different charts for other genres. I dont know if they have one for heavy metal or not but they probably do.
As long as you are posting songs from this year I'm good with it.
It's all subjective. I'm not really going to tear down another genre over another. It's all entertainment.
While my go to genre is usually metal, I will admit that something about Imagine Dragons has caught my interest in the last few years and that I've been an Elton John fan for a few decades now.
Not a huge Lady Gaga fan but that one is an excellent ballad.
The P51 helps a little as well .....
I don't think I have heard a single one of these. I never listen to the radio except in the car. Then the radio is usually on old rock.
Meghan Trainor, "I Made You Look" is lyrical perfection. Also, the video is stylized to the 'skirt'! Love those harmonies galore! They are to die for at least once! Go Meghan! You are too many words!
"Hold me closer - brittany spears and elton john" gave me chills. To see the perfection of people in 'full voice" of diversity stirs me! BRAVO!
That song, has always been beautiful and full of emotion; this version outdoes itself. REPRESENT!
