What John Durham's Investigation Has Told Us

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Dick Durbin, R-Ill., announced that the committee led by Democrats will "take a hard look" into "alleged misconduct" by Special Counsel John Durham as he conducts an investigation into the origins into the handling of the Trump-Russia investigation by law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
In a statement Monday, Durbin referenced a New York Times report that included details about the opening of and actions taken during the investigation led by Durham after he was appointed by former Attorney General Bill Barr, which Durbin framed as "abuses of power."
"These reports about abuses in Special Counsel Durham's investigation—so outrageous that even his longtime colleagues quit in protest—are but one of many instances where former President Trump and his allies weaponized the Justice Department," said Durbin.

"The Justice Department should work on behalf of the American people, not for the personal benefit of any president, he said.
The New York Times report from last week claimed that there were "strained justifications" for the opening of the probe, which then became "roiled by internal dissent and ethical disputes."

"As we wait for the results of ongoing internal reviews, the Senate Judiciary Committee will do its part and take a hard look at these repeated episodes, and the regulations and policies that enabled them, to ensure such abuses of power cannot happen again."
It remains unclear if the "hard look" mentioned by Durbin entails hearings or other committee actions.

More bad news for Trump, Barr and Durham!
What alleged misconduct are we talking about this time around? The article, as usual, wasn't specific or say much
The article says that Trump's weaponized the Justice Department with Barr and Durham...
Sadly it shouldn't be just Democrats, every elected person should want the truth. But Republicans are always angry because they never wanted to "drain the swamp" they are always angry because they get caught. Really a travesty the way right wing voters turned on Liz Cheney of all people who voted with Trump nearly 100% percent of the time just because she fought for the truth regardless of party.
Really?
Democrats want to drain the swamp with Pelosi, Schiff, Swalwell, and the Squad in their midst? Democrats are just a big a part of the swamp as Republicans. Pelosi blocked a bipartisan bill from coming to the floor that would outlaw insider trading for Congress. Why would she do that?
Leftist are in denial thinking Democrats don't get caught.
Liz takes after her father. She wanted power; Trump was blocking her path to that power. She wanted Trump gone. Democrats and leftists defending the daughter of their hated nemesis Darth Cheney. She burned her own damn bridges with the party. Don't worry she will soon be a Lincoln project attacking Republicans she once supposedly supported. Liz and the Jan 6th committee weren't concerned about the truth. They wanted to get Trump at all costs and derailed the committee's primary purpose- which was to examine the security failures on Jan 6th- and make sure they never happen again.
Leftists supporting someone they demonize on a regular basis just because she developed terminal TDS. Laughable in the extreme.
Dick Durbin is a Democrat. Seeing that this was a typo from Fox News isn't surprising.
They are getting so used to the R’s turning on one another the ‘faux’ pas is understandable.
