Hunter Biden's attorneys filed a lawsuit against the IRS that claims agents "targeted and sought to embarrass" him.

In reality, Hunter is accused of running an illegal international bribery scheme and failing to pay taxes. This initiated both a federal investigation as well as an investigation by the IRS.

Rather than accepting responsibility, Hunter says the IRS is "mishandling" the investigation.

Tristan Leavitt, an attorney for IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley, calls the timing of Hunter Biden's lawsuit against the IRS "alarming."

"Of course, it also comes in the context of an impeachment inquiry, but that's for Congress to pursue on its own." pic.twitter.com/Vt1dgQbiZr

Biden's lawsuit claims the IRS "willfully, knowingly, and/or by gross negligence, unlawfully disclosed Mr. Biden's confidential tax information."

Biden is demanding $1,000 in damages for "each and every unauthorized disclosure of his tax returns."

"Biden is the son of the President of the United States. He has all the same responsibilities as any other American citizen, and the IRS can and should make certain that he abides by those responsibilities," the lawsuit said.

"Similarly, Mr. Biden has no fewer or lesser rights than any other American citizen, and no government agency or government agent has free rein to violate his rights simply because of who he is."

"Yet," the complaint continues, "the IRS and its agents have conducted themselves under a presumption that the rights that apply to every other American citizen do not apply to Mr. Biden."

An attorney for IRS agent Gary Shapley responded, "This suit against the IRS is just another frivolous smear by Biden family attorneys trying to turn people's attention away from Hunter Biden's own legal problems and intimidate any current and future whistleblower."

"The federal judge in Delaware who oversaw the aborted plea deal shot down similar claims against the whistleblowers after they exposed the secret backroom deal between Hunter Biden and the Department of Justice," the lawyer continued.

"Neither IRS SSA Gary Shapley nor his attorneys have ever released any confidential taxpayer information except through whistleblower disclosures authorized by statute. Once Congress released that testimony, like every American citizen, he has a right to discuss that public information."

We should be able to countersue Hunter for being an embarrassment to America.

Hunter Biden isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but, damn, he's got some chutzpah!

He needs money now that his business deals have ended.

Maybe "The Big Guy" should have saved a little bit of that 10% cut and put it away for the lean times he knew his son was going to face.

They have? His butt ugly "art" is still selling far above value.

I am sure Hunter can crack out a few hundred more at $50,000 plus a pop if needed.

I am not so sure.

Seems like the whole selling access and influence gig has died out for him.

People may not be willing to donate, er, sorry, buy his "art" unless maybe there is an ambassador opening they hope to get from Joe.
