Chicago residents sound off on migrants
Remember today, the next time we vote

Thanks to the wonders of YouTube we get to see the current residents of Chicago express themselves.

Oh, ya, that is Chicago, Illinois:

For the first time, I feel unity among the American people.

Does this mean Chicago residents will finally vote on issues?

One can only hope.

I take it that Trump was right!

Who is going to do the work Chicagoans refuse to do?  Who is going to pay the taxes Chicagoans refuse to pay?  Where have all the flowers gone?

And don't try to convince us this is Chicago, Texas.

You've done it again.

Thus far, that is the line of the day!

Meanwhile, reported on page six below the fold, Biden has started building border wall on the Texas border.  We'll be told that Biden has suddenly become concerned about the security and welfare of the United States.  Biden won't admit that sanctuary cities need bailed out like college graduates.

We're also not supposed to notice that Biden won't be getting more dollars for nation building Ukraine without border wall construction.

Isn't it strange that there is no longer the extreme resistance that Trump faced.

We'll be told that Biden has suddenly become concerned about the security and welfare of the United States.

The same Biden that said he would NEVER EVER build wall.

We're also not supposed to notice that Biden won't be getting more dollars for nation building Ukraine without border wall construction.

I see; thus it kills two birds so to speak.

I thought black people, particularly in the inner city, were all ungrateful whiners who want free things.

Isn't that the MAGA position?

Way to go John - gotta bring the ol' "racist" brand into it.

Why do you do that?

Probably because I've observed conservative viewpoints over the past 74 years.

There is a guy in the video who has on a Black Lives Matter t-shirt. Since there are apparently a few hundred people in the building, undoubtedly including many community activists, it is safe to assume that the large majority of those at that meeting have BLM sympathies. Are you going to with a straight face tell me that the conservatives on this site respect that?

It is not safe to assume that at all.  As a matter of fact that is quite the leap because one person has a BLM tee shirt.  But trying to make wide statements based on one instance is a thing with many liberals.

So, essentially what you're saying is that you, and only you, can take one instance/example of one person out of "a few hundred people" as being the representative sample of the entire community?

Gee - wonder how that would "poll" out?

Greg - Many on NT have absolutely no clue of how to use the term "MAGA" - they believe it's a political body - which it ain't.

We see it here on NT constantly.

It falls right in with their use of "racist", "fascist" and a few other terms they think they understand.

How about a comment on the actual article about the residents feelings on housing migrants at Amundsen Park?

I have a feeling you would have lots to say about it if the residents were white.

The people in the video, and as well I'm sure in NYC, who object to the migrants do so on the basis that helping the migrants will take away the city's attention to black problems. They already think that  black neighborhoods are neglected by these cities, that they dont get infrastructure improvements, capital investment, decent grocery options, good schools, etc.  The complain by them is not so much about the migrants per se but towards what helping the migrants will cost their already deprived communities.

If the people in the video were white they would have a whole different set of issues with it.

Not sure you are qualified to be the spokesperson of all whites.  It seems the issue I hear most is what helping the migrants will cost and the fact there is not an unlimited supply of money.  Migrants coming to the US in the correct manner does not seem to be an issue at all.  You are talking about a minority of whites, not the majority.

Wonder how the Asian communities - Native American communities - Irish communities - Italian communities - Hispanic communities - etc., would appreciate you stepping forward as the sole representation of Black communities based on seeing ONE BLM T-shirt out of several hundred in attendance as your standard.

Wow.

Why are Democrats--especially after all their glorious promises--depriving black communities? What is the Democrats' goal in doing so?

When did "MAGA" become Democrat?

Apparently when Democrats got in bed with Matt Gaetz and the Freedom Caucus to vote out McCarthy.  Democrats punished McCarthy for working with Democrats.

It’s okay.  The mayor is  going to the border to figure out the problem.  As long as he doesn’t have to pay his water bill or anything similarly complicated,  problem solved.
