There are several around for whom I have no respect, nor do I feel obligated to confer any respect upon them. But to all I try my best to mind my manners and not sink to their level. When I feel I no longer can do that I simply ignore them.
You can act in a civil manner and still discredit the opinions of those you disagree with or you can sink to lowest common level and accomplish nothing except participating in a verbal fight rather than discussion.
Also an approach, but we cannot expect change if we are unwilling to continue and try to do things the right way - civil debate rather than digital shouting matches
Something we should all keep inmind as we engage in our discussions

Nice try though
It can happen, one comment at a time
Please talk about the topic

The answer is to keep trying if you desire civil debate
