Former President   Donald Trump, the GOP presidential nominee, has doubled his support among Black voters, a recent Morning Consult poll found.

A Morning Consult survey of 11,501 registered voters conducted between August 15 and August 18, 2024, found that Trump has garnered significantly more backing from Black voters compared to his 2020 run. The 2024 poll shows 21 percent of Black voters supporting Trump, a 12-percentage point increase from a 2020 Morning Consult poll. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 1 percentage point.

Trump's increase in support among Black voters contrasts with the poll's findings for Democratic candidates. In 2020, then-candidate   Joe Biden   received 81 percent support, according to the poll. The Pew Research Center found that Black voters overwhelmingly supported Biden in the 2020 election, with 92 percent backing his candidacy.

I am wondering-- how accurate is this poll?

And if it is-- why has Black support for Trump risen?

Maybe because the last almost four years have shown them that all the "help" they were to see post-2020 turned into fairy dust mixed with bullshit. They know when they had a better go at life.

Pandering to your base only in election years may be catching up with Democrats.

It is funny to see that the shriller  democrats get about Trump being a white supremacist  running a campaign on white supremacy the better Trump does among minorities.  He may actually win the Hispanic vote this year.

Other interesting thing in the poll is that Vance increased his popularity 10 points since the last poll, while Walz has fallen.  They both have 39% favorability. So many tens of millions of dollars worth of free advertising from the free media campaign on his behalf just to be as popular as Vance, ouch.

The Democrats and the Republicans finally agreed on a border bill! And it was about to pass--but then Trump told the Republicans not to pass it because if it passed with a Democratic president it wouldn't make him look good!

Oh, well, I guess Kamala can champion a new bull, er, bill.

That bill lacked enough enforcement, something always which seems to be lacking for Democrats.

Democrat policies are starting to drive them away.  Sanctuary Cities, rampant crime, illegals almost everywhere.  It starts to wear on people.

Sanctuary Cities

What has this got to do with POTUS?  That is the decision of the city/state.

rampant crime

Which has dropped under Biden, but rose under Trump.  But republicans keep lying claiming otherwise.

illegals almost everywhere.

Nope. Wrong again. Sanctuary cites are created by Democrat governors, mayors, and lawmakers.

"Which has dropped under Biden, but rose under Trump."

Prove it.

You say I am wrong, then point out that I'm right.  Or did you not even bother reading what you wrote?

What the data says about crime in the U.S.
