AOC Tells Off GOP Stooge With A MASTERFUL Takedown Of DOGE & Musk
Elon Musk is not a scientist. He is not an engineer. He is a billionaire con man with a lot of money. He does not have this kind of background.

At least there are some good human beings like AOC out there. Bernie, AOC and lots of other good folks out there who don't have the wool pulled over their eyes by the president and elon and the language that they use around this totally unprecedented hack job on the functioning of the government. They are not seeking what is best for the people of the United States, they are seeking what is good for them  and the other rich people , As for the poor, I think Marie Antoinette said something about cake and all...

Watch the video and respond to the content.

Transcript Text by youtube, Formatting by ChatGPT and myself:

AOC:

You know, I think it's important to—one of the comments that was made earlier—this idea that our concerns around our medical systems and research are unsubstantiated, that it's, quote, "been just a week."

Mr Carter:

Let us remind you—it has been barely a week since these notices went out. The American people clearly support the president's goals of eliminating government waste and bloat, and they want us to streamline our regulatory bodies.

So before we jump to unsubstantiated claims that these cuts will hinder innovation in research or negatively impact our preparedness and response infrastructure, let us take a moment to look and see what further action the administration takes to improve the efficiency, transparency, and overall effectiveness of our public health system.

AOC:

As someone who represents a large hospital network that receives a lot of research funds, telling people to wait—that it's just been a week, that we don't need to be so concerned—I think you should tell that to someone with an experimental pacemaker inserted in their body right now, whose research is now imperiled.

We've got folks in these systems—researchers, people who support this research—who have just been laid off. People with experimental medical devices implanted in their bodies have been abandoned due to this reckless idea that we can just come in and lay off dozens of public servants as though their work does not matter, as though it has no impact on everyday people, as though these breakthroughs are not imperiled.

The way that scientific research works—you can't just blip things and turn things off. Cancer research, medical research, short-term research, cell cultures—these are not things that you can just take out of a fridge, dump, and put back in again.

When we talk about innovation in our treatments, companies are working to try to get these treatments approved. These kinds of blips, delays, and disruptions in sensitive scientific processes may force these experiments to start all over again—delaying approvals by months, if not even years.

This amendment is very simple. It is not asking for extra dollars, it is not asking for large changes, it is not asking for structural shifts. It is saying that we need to examine these disruptions and the impacts they have been having on everyday people to make sure that people are still safe.

Respectfully, as it pertains to the FDA already being mentioned in previous oversight plans—one thing that is not included in previous oversight plans, that is different from today, is Doge. Doge did not exist two years ago. Nineteen-year-olds were not raiding the Treasury two years ago. People with no medical background were not hauling in and creating kangaroo courts for scientists to dismiss them two years ago. That started happening now.

Elon Musk is not a scientist. He is not an engineer. He is a billionaire con man with a lot of money. He does not have this kind of background.

And in fact—while there is some disruption over that—I sincerely ask you all to examine what expertise he has in approving medical devices, in biomedical engineering devices. If you all think that he is an expert in that, I've got a bridge to nowhere to sell you.

These are people's lives that are on the line, and we cannot laugh them away.

Genuinely, please—I am asking you to please support this amendment for the people who have medical devices stuck in their bodies.

Thank you, and I yield back.

Can I daresay that some of these GOPers on the Oversight Committee which I presume this is are doctors and associates to the medical and scientific communities, past and present: How come they don't know of this line of concern for materials and working resources which are sensitive to time, treatment, and even location? She is 100 percent right and it should be a known and IMPORTANT factor. And as of yet, I see no action from GOPers. . . did her bill get any traction?

Agreed. Those in our society that are viewed as ' threats ' to the conservative worldview are demonized and mocked as a form of public shaming and 'discounting' and a effective formula of diminishing her is to pillory her:

Make this the public perception of her. We must not allow this FORMULATION to be effective any longer.

That's correct. This is what a "representative" body of politicians are supposed and expected to do: REPRESENT.  Not just poor people, but not just rich and wealthy people EITHER.

Proper represents stand for all people in all circumstances and situations—especially in times of extreme distress and graveness. This is serious, people are dying. People will kill themselves. Not everybody can withstand the. . . exposure of 'that' which they could hide from those surrounding them. . .if the system fails to keep up its end of the bargain to care, protect, and serve the citizenry!

People will miss the 'next' great medical device, as it will most certainly be a 'shelved' project waiting for a new administration—someday. One that does not strive with sick people and throw up obstructions at every turn on every new day!

This is about predatory temporary zero percent introductory credit card interest rates that balloon into 30% long term debts that take twenty five years to pay off. It is also about extreme low mileage auto leases with low payments for two years that lock borrowers into huge balloon payments that pile on top of monstrous student loan debts. Why can young Americans not afford down payments on half million dollar starter homes? AOC is talking about all that...

People are waiting with expectations on the 'next' great thing in medicine and science. . . they don't have the luxury of sitting around worried. . . as research is dynamically playing out for clients and patients right now. Whole 'strings' of research (and officials) are being put in a holding pattern (suspense) or out of business completely by so-called leaders who are looking so far now the road that they can not see the cracks in their reasoning that will consume them and the projects in the works right now!

We should all agree that a true leader should be conscientious-significantly so.

How can any citizen of any party affiliation or none accept that it is okay to strand people essentially 'caught' in the middle of treatments and physician care and other 'coverages' and talk about it being any form of efficiency? Crimes are being committed. And I will tell you this, actual people will be brought up on charges for the most egregious violations of law and ethics. There will be (must be) consequences.  Pardons can not crimes completely. For that matter, it can be proven that people do not act out their worst instincts for a reason: Because theire are (always) consequences

Quick google search:

The Difference Between a B.A. and B.S. Degree

Generally, a Bachelor of Arts focuses on the humanities while a Bachelor of Science emphasizes math and science.

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

For starters, a B.A. is often less specialized than a B.S., with more of an emphasis on humanities courses that allow students to study a broader range of topics. Depending on program structure, that may mean more opportunities to take electives for students pursuing a B.A.

Bachelor of Science (B.S.)

A B.S. is typically centered around technical fields. Additionally, there may be more math and science courses or lab work, as opposed to a higher number of electives more common in B.A. programs. Depending on the structure of the program, a B.S. may require more classes focused on a chosen major as opposed to a B.A. degree that offers more avenues to explore other topics.

Correct, B.A.s are not as specific as a B.S.  The B.A.s are heavy on the "art" whereas, the "S" is, of course, science.

I think B.A. is perfect for Musty, Bullsh!t Artist...

Well, actually, I only have a BA in geology. Does that make me a scientist? No.  I went on for a year of graduate school and then let myself be distracted.

Musk's only skill is making money, which to some might seem a great thing, until one realizes that seed of his fortune was built in the early years of the tech bubble.

He is not a scientist, he is a very fortunate entrepreneur.

FALSIFIED:

Musk is lying about about government workers not being efficient, needed, or professional at their jobs. . . when oh let's see, if "DOGE" is firing them for insufficiencies (cause). . . why in the "hell" would the private sector, which is highly competitive, wish to possess the government's INEFFICIENT cast-offs? It would not.

So either DoGE does not care what the hell happens to its former federal workers, or it thinks they are exactly what the private sector need in corporate job ranks. If the latter, then those former government employees were good enough to keep their regular jobs.

People, you are being lied to and propagandized. MAGA is caught lying to the public as a means to its own ends.
