CNN Poll: Opinion of Democrats Is 'Lowest Ever Recorded'
Manu Raju reported massive disapproval of Democrats, which is at a "staggering" and historic low among Americans in the latest CNN survey.

CNN's Manu Raju shared a poll on Sunday's Inside Politics he said shows the "brutal reality" of how negatively Americans view Democrats, with the favorable/unfavorable rating at its lowest point since the network began tracking the metric some 30 years ago.

Raju opened Sunday's show with a full breakdown of a CNN/SSRS survey, reporting that it found only 29% of those polled viewed Democrats in a favorable light.

Fifty-four percent of those surveyed told CNN they viewed the Democratic Party unfavorably — something Raju called "staggering."

While Democrats found themselves historically upside down in the survey, the Republican Party fared better, but not by much, coming in at just 36% favorable, and 48% saying they view the party unfavorably.

"Americans' favorable views of the Democratic Party's brand are at a record low, just 29%," Raju reported. "It is the lowest ever recorded for Democrats in CNN polling, going back more than 30 years."

First up this morning, a brand-new, exclusive CNN poll that paints a brutal reality for Democrats as they struggle to mount a unified opposition to President Trump. Americans' favorable views of the Democratic Party's brand are at a record low, just 29%. That's compared to 36% for Republicans.

It is the lowest ever recorded for Democrats in CNN polling, going back more than 30 years. As you can see, the party's number is dropping a staggering 20 points in just four years.

The CNN/SRS poll also found 57% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning voters are more interested in seeing their party leaders stop the GOP agenda, compared to 42% who are more interested in cutting bipartisan deals.

It is a big shift from where the party stood at the start of Trump's first term in 2017.

The CNN/SSRS poll was conducted from March 6 to March 9. The survey reported a margin of error at +/- 5.4 percentage points.

Watch above via CNN.

Very misleading, a good part of the disapproval of the party comes from Democrats who want a stronger response to the lunatic Trump trying to create an autocracy.

and 36 % approval for the Republicans is barely better, especially considering right wingers fall in line like sheep.

Yes. Many of them are left wing populists who would be just as bad. The only difference between the two parties right now is the Right has someone to rally around. The dems do not.

Trump plans to and is trying to install an autocracy,  the Democrats are not.

This is not a both sides issue.

Yes it is.

The Dems are on the wrong side of just about every issue and are not doing anything to turn things around, and in fact are digging the hole of their irrelevance even deeper. Trump and the Repubs numbers, on the other hand, are rising steadily.   jrSmiley_76_smiley_image.gif

How about showing some true, UNBIASED source proof of this accusation.

The rise in left wing populism is in opposition to the rise of right wing populism, but it doesn't make it better, nor smarter. Currently the mainstream dems are in control of their party, but the recent rise in left wing populism is scaring off a lot of people who view themselves as independent moderates who see no one to take the vacuum left by Obama and Biden. It was the far left anti-Israel populists that helped to sink Harris.

When their priority is protecting foreign anti semitic   terrorist sympathizers and gang members rather than Americans, you can understand why they are so unpopular.

And now, in a reversal from Trump’s first term, self-identified Democratic voters say they want their party to hold the line on their positions even if it leads to gridlock, rather than focus on finding areas of compromise with the president.

Almost two-thirds of Democrats, 65%, say they want congressional Democrats to stick to their positions even if that risks sacrificing bipartisan progress, and just 32% want them to make legislative compromises with Trump.

==================================================================

Stand up and fight back -- or quit and let someone else do the fighting that you won't do. Talk about what Trump and his regime are doing now, not about a fellow Democrat who might have said "Latinx" once five years ago.

Kinda hard to "fight" when they have no plan of action or a specific goal to be reached. It's doesn't help the progressives that they are toothless, lack any kind of punch, have no power or passion for battle, and remain leaderless and divided.

That's a serious drop in such a short time. The results of the last election of the last election should have been a wakeup call for them, but they seem to persist of blundering bravely ahead with their radical leftist agenda despite its rejection by most Americans

Well, not all of them. Case in point the recent reversal by Gov Newsom and his comments about trans women in women's sports. Some can read the tea leaves, but it's unknown yet if it's just words or an actual change of heart.

I wonder what the percentage the electorate is that voted for Trump and are now pissed that they did so, but are even more pissed that a Democrat party that they helped deny being in charge of any of the three branches of government is not doing enough to fix their mistake.

The Democrat have a low rating in the polls. I think at least a third of those are democrats who are fed up with the inaction against Trump.

At this stage it’s like being pissed at David for not defeating Goliath while in a straight jacket.  We are where we are because the electorate let it happen.
