Howard Lutnick: "Let's say Social Security didn't send out their checks this month, my mother-in-law— who's 94— she wouldn't call and complain. She just wouldn't. She'd just think something got messed up."

This dickhead is one of the more despicable people in a despicable administration.

His mother in laws son in law is a billionaire, and would have no cause to call and "complain".  MIllions of Social Security recipients dont have that luxury, or anything remotely close to it.  They need the check to pay their bills.

The brazen disregard for citizens in every segment of our society, through despicable words and deliberately targeted actions, is beyond the pale.

Says an asshole making $177,000.00 a year...

Completely out of touch.

WTF. This is insane. For so many seniors, there would be no money for food, rent, or prescriptions without their Social Security check.
says if they complain about missing a check, they're a fraudster.

The Trump/Musk regime's intention is to end Social Security permanently for everyone.

What do banks think about it? That's a lot of money not being deposited.

In fact what do corporate renters think about not getting their rent money?

Mortgage companies will be out a chunk of change too.

How about nursing homes? Why aren't they speaking out because they will be out a massive amount of money if you also add Medicare losses that are planned.

"Banks", "Corporate renters", "Mortgage companies", "Nursing homes" are not speaking out because they are part of the problem! All are bottom feeders, right wing capitalistic thieves that suck the life from society as a whole. They avoid the light of day in as much as a vampire avoids sunlight!

When your heart is black, other people’s problems don’t matter. That’s cool if you’re not in government. Government is supposed to give a shit. I know this because arguably our best president told us it was a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Let's put together a super cut of every Trump rally, speech, TV appearance, any interviews of ALL the times he said "no cuts to Social Security".

Lies upon lies while the MAGA faithful worship the man responsible for this destruction.

Right wing zealots waffle between "he doesn't mean it" to "he was just joking" to "he tells like it is".

So this billionaire appointee actually goes out cheering this destruction saying his 90 year old mother-in-law wouldn't complain.

OF COURSE SHE WOULDN'T COMPLAIN!!!! She has a wealthy son-in-law and no doubt lives in luxury.

Meanwhile red and blue state retirees will get kicked out of their homes, apartments or nursing homes and starve. What's the plan to end the homeless crisis this creates?

I'm sure that since the crisis was created long ago, that the gubmint has a plan already in place. Don't you?...

Perhaps more I.O.U.s'.....

Has he cut social security? Do you imagine he has the power to do so?

He has all the power he wants because Republicans in Congress have no interest in checking it.

Great. So when he doesn't cut social security  Democrats will finally shut up about this imaginary monster.

Right? They should put him in check like the Democrats in Congress did with Obama...

He is cutting plenty of other things he’s not supposed to cut. His chief cutter has said he wants to get rid of SS. So, the concern over this is entirely reasonable.

Specifically, when should they have, but did not? Was it anything on the scale of firing thousands of people protected from being fired by law? Shutting down Congressionally allocated spending? Several inspectors general? Ordering the closure of agencies and even a whole department created by Congress? Did Democrats change the definition of ordinary words like “calendar day” to avoid votes?
