Every once in awhile, we have a ritual countdown until the government shuts down. Because our Congress, in its infinite wisdom, has decided that it must vote on spending, independently from its votes on doing stuff.
Now we add a ritual countdown to tariff meltdown. Because we have a Mad King running the country, who applies the brakes, accelerates, applies the brakes, accelerates, applies the brakes........'
She is just a far left MSNBC mouthpiece pretending to be a journalist. Funny that she is talking about a loss of credibility. She might as well be talking about herself.
You make it so obvious where you go for news. I seriously doubt that there is a single person that I know who has never at least heard of Stephanie Ruhle. Something tells me there’s a different reason that you claim to have never heard of her.
IMNAAHO, they believe that "nuh uh, deflections, distractions, and obfuscations" are useful weapons in their war against the libs, because they often get us to waste our time following them down the rabbit hole.
HA! I skip merrily past them and let them continue with thinking they "got" me. It doesn't matter to me what they think. I think they're all full of shit.
Big picture, Trump could have negotiated with any nation and could have issued any threat. But privately. Had he done that, the market would be unchanged, consumer confidence would be unchanged, businesses would not be holding off waiting for certainty, consumers would still be buying, the GDP would still be growing with likely good earnings reports, etc.
And, importantly, we would not have a global trade war with the USA at the center damaging long-term international relationships and unnecessarily bumping up the prices for everyone.
Now all we get is spin. Trump and sycophants claim that the only way these nations would negotiate is by Trump burning down the house.
And they try to claim that Trump knows what he is doing when he issues tariffs on nations like Vietnam under the confused idea that a trade imbalance means a nation is 'ripping us off'.
Trump does not know what he is doing. Quit trying to defend this buffoon.
Grammar? If so and you are conflating Watters with Ruhle you are wrong.
Watters hasn't worked anywhere other than Fox News starting his career as an assistant on the NY Fox News before becoming a gopher for Bill O'Reilly and eventually a guest while he honed his "ambush journalist" shtick for Watter's World, later the Five and any other conservative host who would have him as a guest. He started the rumor that the Taylor Swift / Travis Kelce relationship was a psyops mission by the last Administration.
Before joining Bloomberg , Ruhle spent 14 years in finance. While in college, she spent a summer interning for Merrill Lynch . [ 10 ] In 1997, she joined Credit Suisse , where she spent six years working in hedge fund sales. During her time at Credit Suisse First Boston , she served as a vice president and became the highest producing credit derivatives salesperson in the United States. [ 3 ] [ 11 ] In 2003, Ruhle joined Deutsche Bank as a credit salesperson covering hedge funds. [ 12 ] She ended her eight-year career there as a managing director in Global Markets Senior Relationship Management. [ 3 ] While at Deutsche Bank, Ruhle founded the Global Market Women's Network to help women move into leadership roles at the company. [ 10 ]
Do you think Trump knew that the market was going to crash as badly as it did? Do you think Trump understands the concept of trade deficits and why a deficit, in and of itself, is not bad or good? Explain the rationale for someone to, especially now, trust that Trump has some grand genius plan and that the damage he has already inflicted on the global economy, stock market, international relationships, etc. was worth it.
My opinion is that you cannot make such an argument because there is no argument that anyone could make. Even Trump's main sycophants can only claim that Trump has a master plan and that we should all be patient. No logic is offered, no endgame stated, and no explanation for why Trump has done the exact opposite of what he was elected to do.
Comparing Watters to Ruhle is like comparing the biggest Koi fish in your backyard pond to an Orca swimming free in the Pacific.
I am not comparing anything other than their ideologies which does not allow them to be credible sources. Neither one has been objective in years so the comparison is very valid. I would not promote either one if I was trying to make an argument.

You forgot "in my honest opinion".
Again, in my honest opinion you are comparing apples to oranges, while calling other people biased.

Just another lying leftist liberal that no one has ever heard of.
She is just a far left MSNBC mouthpiece pretending to be a journalist. Funny that she is talking about a loss of credibility. She might as well be talking about herself.
And here we have it. The big 'nuh-uh' with no rebuttal. As predicted @4
Instead of just trying to dismiss the source, deal with her argument.
You do realize I was responding directly to number 3 don't you?[✘]
Is ignorance probably a major qualification for being a head in the sand lying conservative? Just asking for some friends.
Stephanie Ruhle - Wikipedia
no one has ever heard of
You make it so obvious where you go for news. I seriously doubt that there is a single person that I know who has never at least heard of Stephanie Ruhle. Something tells me there’s a different reason that you claim to have never heard of her.
Yeah, well the Trump supporters will give this their typical 'nuh-uh' and not have a shred of fact or logic to back up their dismissal.
There is no reasoning with people who still think that Trump knows what he is doing ... or that he is even rational.
Our nation is in a very sick situation and it is all the result of a single individual.
No proposals. No rebuttals.
Nothing.
Pitiful.
You'd think they would have the intelligence to just walk away knowing all they have is nuh uh, deflections, distractions, and obfuscations

Letting Jesse Watters argue for you?
Big picture, Trump could have negotiated with any nation and could have issued any threat. But privately. You're assuming two things:
trump has a reality show and tabloid newspaper mentality ...
Why not, he is on par with Stephanie Rahle? But thanks for your comment.

Ruhle was a banker.
Comparing Watters to Ruhle is like comparing the biggest Koi fish in your backyard pond to an Orca swimming free in the Pacific.
Watters hasn't a clue when pontificating about Trump and tariffs while repeating Karoline Leavitt's empty headed propaganda.
Ruhle knows what she is talking about finance at all levels.
Make an actual argument.

It's not a position of strength.
And you are welcome to your opinion, including your opinion that it is not a position of strength.
Thanks Right of Center, I will take that into consideration.
