El Salvador President Nayib Bukele posted photos of Kilmar Abrego Garcia meeting Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) and "sipping margaritas" in "tropical paradise."

El Salvador President Nayib Bukele posted several photos of Kilmar Abrego Garcia meeting Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) and "sipping margaritas" in "tropical paradise" on Thursday, one month after Garcia was deported from the U.S. due to an "administrative error."

"Kilmar Abrego Garcia, miraculously risen from the 'death camps' & 'torture', now sipping margaritas with Sen. Van Hollen in the tropical paradise of El Salvador!" wrote Bukele in a social media post.

Bukele also posted several photos of Garcia shaking hands with the senator and conversing at a dinner table over drinks.

"I said my main goal of this trip was to meet with Kilmar. Tonight I had that chance," wrote Van Hollen in his own post. "I have called his wife, Jennifer, to pass along his message of love. I look forward to providing a full update upon my return."

Van Hollen travelled to El Salvador this week to check on the welfare of Garcia after he was deported by the Trump administration and transferred to El Salvador's CECOT mega prison following an "administrative error."

The senator was initially denied a visit with Garcia after landing in El Salvador, before finally being given permission to speak with him on Thursday.

The Trump administration defended its deportation of Garcia - an illegal immigrant - accusing him of being a member of the designated terrorist organization MS-13.

"He is not coming back to our country," declared U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi on Wednesday. "President Bukele said he was not sending him back. That's the end of the story."

I probably wouldn’t have had lunch with the guy, but I am proud to defend the rule of law.

As for his alleged past, you do know the president - the one I assume you voted for - has been convicted in an actual court of law of 34 felonies, cheated on all three of his wives, and been held liable for sexual assault. Supporting that guy doesn’t seem to concern you.
