I think I saw this conversation just this morning. Could be and maybe.
Most people think that the other guy is the dumber one. Only a wise perosn knows that they don't know everything.
As I've always said - there is so much to learn out there.
Tru dat 1st!
Sounds better coming from Confucius then from me.
A hand in the bush is better.............wait, I think I'm misquoting.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. ~ Adolph Hitler
The trouble with quotes on the internet is you never know if they are genuine. ~ Benjamin Franklin.
I must be very wise.
Can I change my name to Future Legal Toad?
Not to mention Ben's other one - "He who laughs last is slow on the uptake."
Pres. Bush comes to mind.
Buahaha, Marine. Thanks for that.
Cute video! And appropriate, too!
We are limited here, (and on all web-based communication), to words. We can't convey body language, tone of voice, etc. I think that's part of the problem. And, too, we're all caught up in our own experiences, our own beliefs, that are influenced by what we have lived. There are vast differences in experience from our homes, scattered as we are all over the planet.
Maybe we're all on a journey through life, and what some of us know, others of us have yet to experience or to learn. Maybe some of us will never experience what others of us have experienced and know too well.
I guess the only thing that really bothers me is arrogance. When someone here speaks to me as if they are talking "down" to me, like I'm stupid, it annoys me to no end. Yet, while their words may feel as if they are being arrogant, since I can't derive the tone or body language from their words, maybe they're not really being arrogant, and I'm just interpreting it that they are.
Some people here appear to be very hostile. But then, they probably aren't in real life, it just appears that way here. Some people come here to just stir up stuff. Some people seem to thrive on conflict. Some people need an outlet for their frustrations. Some people are so filled with anger and hate that it spills out onto the page. It's like being near a tornado-- they pass by, leaving torn trees, missing roofs, and a huge mess in their wake-- all for the utter destruction of a particular target. They probably aren't even aware that their rants and snits subject people to real hurt. Maybe most of us annoy someone here, even if we're not really annoying people.
One thing for sure-- none of us are going to change anyone else's mind or core beliefs, by screaming at them. I've thought long and hard after some of the more intelligent discussions from here-- but essentially, I'm the same person I was before I had the discussion. I can fine tune my beliefs, but essentially, we are all just what we are...
((((((((((((((((((((Flame))))))))))))))))
I love you muchly!
Oh, Dowser, you are right on the money. Again and again. Thanks.
Someday, I need you to bounce over here and break some of MY ugly flowerpots... I can't because they were "somebody's" and it's my job to be the family historian... But YOU could!
Sweet Grump-- I love you. Thanks for your kind words.
No swhoooshing. You'll hurt yourself.
He who laughs last, laughs best!
Damn Gene, must you always be such a downer?
Tiggers are supposed to do that.
