Via: nigel-dogberry • 10 years ago • 13 commentsThis is a video about an interesting machine. It's not about politics, so please don't go there. The night time video with the tracer rounds shows clearly the power of these machines. Not every round is a tracer round - maybe only every 10th round.
I would have immensely enjoyed going along for the ride in the chopper. What fun.
A ride would be good in that chopper. I'd like to take a ride is this baby.
The helo gunner needs to learn the proper method of "lead" your shot. Note how much more accurate the PC gunners are.
The most favorite weapon we had in 'Nam was the AC-47 Spooky - 'member that one Kavika? At that time, it had the most powerful and up-to-date armament in the world and when it was on scene - the heavens opened and the earth trembled.
Here's the one you don't want to have bearing down on you the C-130 from the USAF:
The video right about your comment 1st.
Gosh, it looked like a giant bug, squirting fire...
Nice to know we have these, if we need them.
ha ha ha. I ran across this advert for an M134D:
M134D Minigun for sale! No, not some airsoft or paintball replica, I'm talking about the real deal. For a mere $239,000 you can own a live firing M134D Minigun via this webisite:
www.urban-armory.com/cart/proddetail.php?prod=91
And to keep your expensive boy toy chewing away $900 worth of ammunition a second, you'll need the occasional replacement part from this site:

Once I'm rich, and assuming no nuclear weapons are available for less, that bitch is mine
C 130's fly in and out of Kirtland AFB for maintenance. Big and very slow. It's a wonder they can fly at all.
Hahaha!!! What can you mount it to? I'm thinking my car wouldn't be quite large enough to become a platform for this gun...
Ahhhh - the ol' JATO trick, eh?
