Texas boy's wheelchair stolen from in front of home
A heartless crime has left a9-year-old Texas boyunable to get around after his customized wheelchair was stolen from in front of his home.
Erik Millers wheelchair was snatched in the pre-dawn hours Friday. San Antonio police are investigating. The boys mother said she cant believe someone would be so heartless.
Im still in shock, Danette Hunter told KABB Fox 29. I still think someones hiding it from me and I cant believe it because thats his independence.
The boy was born with cerebral palsy and cant walk or talk. He also has other health problems and has undergone numerous surgeries. Hunter told the station her son's disabilities have notkept him from living an active life like any other kid.
He can do just about anything, but he just has to do it a little differently, Hunter told the station.
The wheelchair wasbuilt to accommodate his special needs and is worthabout$10,000.
She said she left the wheelchair outsidebecause she trusts the other residents in her apartment complex.
OMG!! How heartless, and low , for someone to steal a wheel chair.
I sounds like he needs one of these.
I sue hope so.
It sure does!!!
...lol...
That's for sure. hope the wheel chair is found, or a group of people get together and get the boy another one.
Sad, but someone will be trying to sell it.
Allbecause of greed.
