NEW JERSEY (MYFOXNY.COM) - As many as 300 people became involved in a massive brawl at a New Jersey wedding hall that ended with two arrests on Sunday night.
Middletown police say that the fight broke out at about 10:30 p.m. at the Jacques Reception Center on Palmer Ave. in Middletown.
Two off-duty police officers were working the reception as security when they were alerted to a fight. As the officers attempted to break up the fight, they say the crowd swelled to about 80 people. The were pushing and shoving each other while screaming and yelling.
The officers radioed for additional help to break up the crowd. As Middletown police officers attempted to gain control of the situation approximately 300 people became involved in the brawl.
Police say that along with the fighting, yelling and screaming, people refused to leave the area.
Police officers from Keansburg, Holmdel and Hazlet also responded to the scene and helped shut down the event. It took officers about 45 minutes to clear everyone out of the area.
Jonathan Accardi, 32, from Waterview Road in Oceanside, N.Y. and Emily George, 23, from Haledon, N.J. were arrested for disorderly conduct.

This is great. We are now having weddings in the US with a bit of international flavor. In Mexico, it's not considered a good wedding unless at least one person gets stabbed. Perhaps this will become the American way, too.
