Warm Welcome For the Iroquois Nationals Lacrosse Team - FIL World Championships
The Iroquois Nationals received a warm welcome in Denver, prior to the start of the FIL Lacrosse World Championship.
The Iroquois team is made of Native players from the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Seneca, Cayuga, Tuscarora, Ojibwe and Cherokee Nations. They are one of the top Lacrosse teams in the world and will be playing in the top Blue Division.
Lacrosse, the oldest sport in North America, and invented by the Iroquois nation is know as the ''Creators Game'' to us.

Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the US. Fast and exciting, the sport is well knowin Canada and the northern US states, it's spreading to states that have never see the sport.
In Arkansas it was started as a high school sport last year.
Take the time to watch a game or two on ESPN. You find it, fast, rough and exciting.

I was just looking at some YouTube videos tying to figure out the game. It looks pretty rough. I bought a Lacorsse ball the other day. It's as hard as a rock. I can't imagine one of those bouncing off my head.

I have no clue about LaCrosse, and am not at all talented with sticks and balls, but have a great deal of respect for those that are. That they are Iroquois makes me feel very happy.
That they were welcomed with open arms makes me feel VERY happy!

The best part about it is that they have the respect of everyone.
That is very true, Dowser. The Thompson brothers are the best emissaries the sport could have. They are likeable, smart and great players. Everyone seems to like them no matter where they go.
