PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- A Rhode Island man has told police he was leaving a bar when he noticed he'd been shot.
Police tell the Providence Journal ( http://bit.ly/1lAWSlQ ) that 22-year-old Hector Aguayofuentes, of Providence, was shot in the leg early Saturday.
He tells police he was leaving the bar with a friend shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday when they both noticed he was bleeding.
They went to Hernandez's house but were unable to stop the bleeding. He was eventually taken to a hospital, and police were notified.
Police say Aguayofuentes hasn't provided any other details or explained how he might have been shot.
Is it possible toget shot and not know it???
He was obviously drunk enough not to. He could've thought someone bumped his leg ???
That's a possibility..
I guess one never knows..
If you are shot at from a distance by a rifle you won't hear a loud bang . If I had to guess , that's what happened .
If it's far enough away and the bullet doesn't hit a bone, it certainly is possible. Self defence instructors always outline the things to check if you are ever involved in or around a gunfight. First thing they tell you to do after the shooting stops is to visually check yourself and everyone else in the area to be sure if you or anyone else has taken a round and not noticed it. In that case it's entirely possible to not notice, even though the shooting is close by.
