I joined Nextdoor for my neighborhood. It turns out to be a good way to meet your neighbors, keep up to date on crime in the area, learn about activities at the local schools like plays or recitals and references to local businesses. I found an excellent dog groomer through recommendations on my local Nextdoor and I have posted the name and phone number of my yard guy, who is excellent, BTY.
For you cheapskates, like me, it's free.

It's entertaining. I have met some neighbors in the area I hadn't met before. Someone wanted to borrow a post hole digger and I had one I could loan her. I got a meal out of it. Yummy.
This sounds like a good idea . It promotes neighborhood safety as well as "socialness" .

I readabout this whenMike in Ga. posted it. I'd never heard of it before, but it sure sounds interesting. I'll be checking it out. I've told a couple of our neighbors about it as well.
It's kinda fun. We started up a neighborhood watch. We are waiting for a guy who looks sorta peachy to come wandering through so we can whack him one.
Let me know if you join and if yours is any good. My neighborhood's group is pretty cool. Lucky for me, the neighborhood crazy cat lady doesn't have a computer. Yikes.

Really,....just another tool for criminal, the government, child predators, and other not so savory people to use to gather info on unsuspecting people.....

step 2 log on saying I am now person from phone book
step three....gather info on neigborhood.....
there is no way for any software or program to verify who I am or where I am......
