Schoolhouse Rock... I loved these.
"Conjunction junction, what's your function..."
I sure wish they made these today. They're so educational. My son learned a lot about grammar and basic math from these. Then when he did a project regarding the branches of government, we watched the ones that were related to that subject. I love these and they bring back a lot of memories.
Which one is / was your favorite?
These bring back so many memories.
Loved this one!
That is the one that I remember best.
Another video I always found amusement in...
And reading history...
If you watched cartoons on Saturday morning in the 70s, you saw each of these a hundred times. I swear I learned these lessons far more completely than anything I ever learned in school. So much of it is basic, essential knowledge - about grammar, math, science, history - that kids don't have now.
Exactly. That's why I have watched these with my kids. My son learned his 3 multiplications by the "3 is the magic number" video.
I have to agree with both of you. I learned so much from watching these. I even showed them to my kids when they were young and they said they were great.
I adored Conjunction Junction and I'm just a bill. I learned more from those videos than I did in school
I learned the preamble...
I watched these with my kids when they were little, and they learned a lot from them before they even started school, which put them ahead of other kids in their class. Even though they were looked at as cartoons at first, they started to learn from them other than to laugh at them as just being funny.
My Son was two years younger than my Daughter, and of course, could not read at first. To listen to him repeat what my Daughter said as she carefully watched the videos and spoke the words at times was so funny to hear.
Heck I learned a good bit from them on certain areas as well. (grin)
My favorite...
