Don't expect marches and chants of "no justice, no peace".  Don't expect Joe Biden to make a hearts & prayers speech.  Don't expect flags to be lowered to half-staff.  Don't expect any street memorial for Christine Englehardt.

The story is about portraying Evoire Collier as a victim.

S E E D E D   C O N T E N T

A Florida spring breaker accused of drugging and raping a 24-year-old woman who later was found dead in a Miami Beach hotel room is "not some monster," his friends and family claim.

Evoire Collier, 21, remained in jail Wednesday along with pal Dorian Taylor, 24, for allegedly drugging Christine Englehardt with a "green pill" before raping her and stealing her credit cards, the Miami Herald reported.

"It's devastating. My thought was praying for her family because I wouldn't wish that on anybody," his aunt, Tanda Collier, told the newspaper.

But still, she insisted that Evoire was "a good kid."

"He wouldn't hurt a fly," she told the paper.

Adrienne Long, who had taken Evoire in after his mother died when he was in high school, said she and his family believed that Taylor was a bad influence on him.

"He's an honest person. He's gullible … he's not some monster. He wasn't a predator," Long told the paper.

Both men allegedly had sex with Englehardt, who also was visiting for spring break.

"He definitely was in the company of this older guy who could possibly influence him," she added.

Police said surveillance footage captured Evoire and Taylor with Englehardt at the Albion Hotel in South Beach.

Both men allegedly had sex with Englehardt, who also was visiting for spring break.

She was later found dead and semi-nude in the hotel room on Thursday, police said.

No cause of death has been released, though authorities said they're looking into whether the pill the duo supplied her — believed by authorities to be the powerful narcotic Percocet — resulted in an overdose.

Both men face charges for burglary with battery, sexual battery, petty theft and fraudulent use of a credit card.

Feel sorry for the criminal.  Ignore the victim.  That's what the political left's woke politics has accomplished.

Oh yeah, that is exactly what happened to this group of men.

Oh and every day in bars all over America, men drug women to sexually abuse them.

Sixty-two percent of the  women  had drugs in their system, and 5 percent tested positive specifically for substances that are considered date-rape drugs. ... Based on this data, the researchers estimated that 4.2 percent of the  women  reporting assault had been surreptitiously  drugged .

https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/rapes-assisted-by-drugs-or-alcohol-are-all-too-common/#:~:text=Sixty%2Dtwo%20percent%20of%20the,are%20considered%20date%2Drape%20drugs.&text=Based%20on%20this%20data%2C%20the,assault%20had%20been%20surreptitiously%20drugged .

So I would say, the issue you have is their race, since you brought up " no justice, no peace " when these stats say that race is not THE ISSUE. It is a fact that men abuse women and this, sadly, is an everyday affair.

I don't think that is it at all. The issue here is that THE WOMAN DIED and the two perps went out on the town on her credit cards. Got any stats on that? And he is correct unfortunately. There will be no vigils, no "protests", and definitely no riots.

And you expressed that well. They are criminals. This isn't a case of police brutality. People die every day at the hands of criminals and there are no marches, are there? Of course, this is a very sad and disturbing story, but it is one of thousands around the US.

Got any stats on that?

Yeah I do. You can find it here:

The seeded article is attempting to portray Evoire Collier as a victim.  Evoire Collier is a 'good boy' who was led astray; it's not really Collier's fault.

Are we to believe that the portrayal of Collier as a victim hasn't been influenced by the protests, riots, and woke blather over the last six years?  Are we to believe that Collier's race hasn't influenced the story?

Feel sorry for the criminal.  Ignore the victim.  The article highlights the dismissal of the victims of sexual assault just as your link addresses.  Removing Christine Englehardt's name from the article wouldn't change the story at all.

There won't be chants of "no justice, no peace" for Christine Englehardt.  But if Evoire Collier is convicted and given a harsh sentence there may be a riot.

Race was never mentioned until you brought it up. Are you stereotyping a group.  The point I got from his post is NO ONE will be out demanding justice for this girl and sadly that is probably true. .

Collier isn't even being charged with manslaughter.  Why is that?

They don't want to jump the gun, they have him in jail and they'll wait for the cause of death before they do anything. If he gets bail it will be better that they can then arrest him for murder and put his low life ass back in the clink. Maybe he'll do everyone a favor and hang himself in his cell.

Race was never mentioned until you brought it up.

As I said before, when you bring up " no justice, no peace " you are talking about "Black lives Matter" and race relations and that is how race came into the discussion.

Then say that.

Are we to believe that the portrayal of Collier as a victim hasn't been influenced by the protests, riots, and woke blather over the last six years?

No. We should assume that a reporter got hold of the family and they are doing what families do.... protect their own.

There won't be chants of "no justice, no peace" for Christine Englehardt.

Yes, given that is about police interaction with the black community, none of which applies here.

But if Evoire Collier is convicted and given a harsh sentence there may be a riot.

I highly doubt it. I'm sure this case and its sad outcome is nothing more than the story of the day. I have marked this comment to see if I am right.

This is such a sad story. My heart breaks for this young ladies family.

As for the 21 and 24 year old dirt bags that drugged, robbed, raped and possibly murdered her. You’re both adults, no excuses!! I can only hope you both go to jail and find out what it feels like to be raped. Pucker up your but holes guys Bubba thinks you’re pretty and when he is done I hope he sells you to the next guy for a snickers bar!

PSA, when you young people go out to party, never, never leave someone behind or allow them to go off alone with strangers!! You come back with everyone you left with!! Watch out for each other, please!

That was the message I repeatedly told my son when he was in college. You never leave without everyone you came with! You have to watch out for each other.
When I read these stories I always wonder where the friends are. Why they didn’t keep watch over each other.

Which is great advice. And often people forget that boys can be victims, too.

When I read these stories I always wonder where the friends are. Why they didn’t keep watch over each other.

They lose their common sense on spring break. I know that I expected my girls to come home on their breaks since I know that none of their friends were that reliable.

So, where's someone saying Christine Englehardt was a "good girl"?  Would that mean nothing, too?

Yes He is a Monster and so is his friend. They Drugged a Woman then Raped Her then Stole Her Credit Cards, Yup it takes a Monster to do that. She was probably Dead or Dying while they raped her. I've never had a friend whom I wouldn't kick the shit out of and call the cops on and testify against if he tried to drug somebody in my presence, I've never had a friend who did anything like this but if they had it would have instantly turned them from friend to ENEMY. Fucking Scumbags there's nothing lower than You.
