Kamala Harris proven a liar on Florida history curriculum
Vice President Kamala Harris falsely claimed Florida's black-studies curriculum would "replace history with lies" and teach middle school kids that black people "benefited from slavery."

Ain't it interesting that Kamala Harris is most lucid when lying?  Harris only delivers word salads when trying talk about facts and truth.

You can't ask for better proof of VP Kamala Harris' cheap, ugly hypocrisy.

Remember her recent frontal assault on Fla. Gov. Ron DeSantis, when she falsely claimed his state's black-studies curriculum would "replace history with lies" and teach middle school kids that black people "benefited from slavery"?

Guess what: That "lie," that awful "propaganda" — to use Harris' words — is actually part of standard AP history pedagogy, which she and fellow Democrats back.

An AP history unit says slaves learned trades and skills and used them "to provide for themselves and others."

Florida's curriculum contains virtually the same line: "Instruction includes how slaves developed skills which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit."

To the veep, the former is fine but the latter outrageous.

It would be hilarious if the underlying reality weren't so grim.

Recall that earlier this year, DeSantis, under his state's Stop WOKE Act, moved to break away from new AP standards on black history that included poisonous teachings on critical race theory.

Progressives were head-over-heels about the standards and blasted him for the move.

Including Harris herself.

"Anyone who bans teaching American history has no right to shape America's future," she said.

Ha!

Question is: Why slam DeSantis for something those standards themselves include?

As one of the scholars who worked on the new Florida curriculum, former US Civil Rights Commission chair Dr. Willam B. Allen, put it, Harris & Co. want "to prosecute a culture war," and their attacks on Florida are "a kind of ideological posturing."

Indeed they are.

Harris put on a big theatrical show over that one (accurate) line in Florida's curriculum, in an ugly bid to weaken him in the Republican presidential primary.

Yet now that her fraud has been exposed, don't expect her to stop.

No, she and her fellow Dems will continue to look to ride the racial-grievance train back into the White House, no matter how hypocritical it is.

It's becoming evident why Biden tapped Harris for VP.  Birds of a feather.

So THAT'S why she was selected a VP.  Goes right along with Biden's history.

She, and everyone that promoted her lie , should apologize to the American people for their blatant disinformation.

Or will they just double down and try to explain how

"  slaves learned trades and skills and used them "to provide for themselves and others.""

and

" slaves developed skills which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit."

are totally different things?

Of course I am still waiting for them to admit the "don't say gay" bill doesn't say "don't say gay" anyplace in it.

It'd be reported on page 69 under the fold.

Like everything else, the initial outrage captures all the attention and the correction is ignored.  Progressives will drop the topic like a hot stone for now, but it will pop up again in a few months when they list their grievances with desantis.

It’s worse than election denial. The standards are literally available for anyone to read.

now the congressional black caucus is doubling down on the stupidity. They want the DOJ to take time out of their busy schedule protecting hunter Biden to investigate Florida because their chairman doesn’t think Florida will teach kids about the end of reconstruction or the rise of the KKK.  Of course they ignore the actual standards such as:

Explain and evaluate the policies, practices, and consequences of Reconstruction (presidential and congressional reconstruction, Johnson's  impeachment, Civil Rights Act of 1866, the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments, opposition of Southern whites to Reconstruction, accomplishments and failures of Radical Reconstruction, presidential election of 1876, end of Reconstruction, rise of Jim Crow laws, rise of Ku Klux Klan)

they know they can say anything they want, no matter how divorced from reality, and their gullible followers will mindlessly repeat it.

That's the Harris lie.  That's how Democrats keep Blacks on their plantation.  The Florida standard does not say that slavery benefited Black people.  The Florida standard requires teaching that Black people learned to benefit themselves even in slavery.

So, why could Black people learn to benefit themselves under the extreme oppression of chattel slavery but are incapable of benefiting themselves without Democrat support as a free people?  Democrats protected and prolonged the institution of chattel slavery not for the benefit of Black people.  Why are we to believe that Democrats' approach to civil rights is intended to benefit Black people?

Harris isn't lying to build up Black people.  Harris is lying to build up the Democratic Party.  Are Black people still stuck on the Democrats' plantation?

You know, slaves knew more than just how to pick cotton.  But that's not the history that Harris is trying to teach.

From the AP Framework:

Learning Objective

LO 2.8.A

Describe the range and variety of specialized roles performed by enslaved people.

Essential Knowledge

EK 2.8.A.4

In addition to agricultural work, enslaved people learned specialized trades and worked as painters, carpenters, tailors, musicians, and healers in the North and South. Once free, American Americans used these skills to provide for themselves and others. (Page 72)

You can find the AP Course Framework Link here:

Vice President Harris at the  Delta Sigma Theta Sorority national convention , “They insult us in an attempt to gaslight us and we will not stand for it. We who share a collective experience in knowing we must honor history in our duty in the context of legacy'.

I don't that Kamala Harris, like most outraged by Florida, have neither read the Florida standards or the AP Framework.

Dr. William Allen,  former Chair of the US  Commision on Civil Rights,  volunteered to be part of the workgroup who wrote the curriculum standards for the state responded:

“We need to tell the people’s stories the way they told their stories, not to fit our expectations. The stories of the people who lived through the history, they have a right to tell the story in their own words, and what we have provided for is the telling of those stories as they themselves told it,” Allen said.

Maybe Kamala sees Dr. Allen as just another Uncle Tom.
