Now it's official.  The U.S. has signed a 10-year bilateral security agreement with Ukraine.  So, Biden has dragged the U.S. into another 'forever' war that's only going to feed grifters.  Somebody in Ukraine is going to become very rich.  Will Democrats increase their taxes?

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced a $2.3 billion security assistance package for Ukraine ahead of a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Tuesday.

The package will include critical air defense interceptors and other weapons. A spokesperson for the Pentagon said more details on the package would be made available soon.

Austin met with Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov at the Pentagon on Tuesday and underscored the U.S. commitment to defending the country against a Russian invasion.

"Ukraine is in a tough fight," Austin said in remarks ahead of the meeting, adding "make no mistake, Ukraine is not alone."

The Pentagon chief also noted that the U.S. has signed a 10-year bilateral security agreement with Ukraine, providing Kyiv with defense cooperation guarantees over a decade. He added that he would discuss with Umerov additional ways to strengthen the partnership.

The U.S. has announced billions of dollars of assistance to Ukraine since the last congressional package of some $60 billion was approved in April. That legislation came after months of delays, giving Russia the advantage on the battlefield before more U.S. aid began arriving on the battlefield.

Ukrainian troops are fighting across the 600-mile front against Russian forces, including in the northeastern Kharkiv region, where Moscow opened a new front in May.

Don't worry about the assistance package -- it's free shipping.  Ukraine cannot fight without these munitions but military planners won't allow Ukraine to win with these munitions.  Sec. Def. Lloyd Austin would assure us that these munitions allows Ukraine to utterly destroy Russian positions which are actually Ukrainian territory the Kiev wants back.  But not to worry.  Russia will pay for rebuilding these areas destroyed with US munitions after the US sanctions destroy the Russian economy and convinces them to surrender.

With friends like the United States does Ukraine really need to worry about a Russian enemy?  The only way Ukraine can win, under US rules, is to destroy itself and pray the money will be there to rebuild.  And Ukrainians who have been shelled by the Ukrainian military will become happy, contented citizens when Russia has been bankrupted.  What a great plan.

I detect a touch of sarcasm.

Starting on January 21st Trump will start bringing our dollars home and crack down on the Europeans not paying their fair share in order to keep the Russian wolf away from their borders

Appropriate and necessary, that is if one believes we still have a role on the world stage.

Isolationists assemble!

Please tell us all what Ukraine provides for the US that we cannot supply ourselves?

This is all about Democrats still being butt sore over 2016 and blaming Putin for Hillary losing.

I am sure that is worth increasing the national debt and persistent inflation caused by dumping billions into the Ukraine sink hole.

“Please tell us all what Ukraine provides for the US…”

It is less about supply and demand and more about a sovereign nation fighting for its survival against a foe who looks at dominion as an historical reason for their actions.

We, off all peoples, should do all we can to support those fighting for their freedom, here and across the world.

So it would be okay to completely destroy a country and replace it's leadership as long as you didn't remain there?

Forgetting that Obama backed a coup to oust a duly elected pro Russian President?

We suck at nation building- in the end those we try to help either fall because they are weak and corrupt; or they turn on us. Which one do you think Ukraine is?

So you are all for supporting a government that is rife with Nazi's throughout; and has Nazis at high level positions in the military. That imprisons their political opponents and shuts down opposition media? What I am saying- Democrats are trying to do that here!

No one has answered the question of how many billions do you want to put into the Ukraine sink hole? What is the end game? Will there be any Ukrainians left before the war is over.

Putin doesn't give a fuck about the Russian people. The Russian meat grinder is running at top speed in Ukraine. It is chewing up Ukrainians and Russians at an equal rate.

Putin is going broke, butt the United States is not!'

Putin isn't going broke- his oil, machinery, and wheat contracts with China are preventing it. He has nothing to lose- Ukraine will run out of fighters before Russia does.

The US isn't going broke? The rapidly increasing national debt and persistent inflation prove otherwise. Exactly how much money do leftists want to throw at Ukraine so politicans' families, friends, and cronies can continue to suck off the US taxpayer tit?
