Black man brutally assaults three white women in Philadelphia: Why haven’t hate crime charges been filed?
Yet, so far, Philadelphia authorities have been reluctant to treat it as such, and many are wondering if it is because the victims are white.

S E E D E D   C O N T E N T

T hree white women were randomly and brutally   assaulted   by a black man in   Philadelphia   last week. The   video   of the violent attack has gone viral. The beating was unprovoked, and many feel it should be considered a hate crime. Yet, so far, Philadelphia authorities have been reluctant to treat it as such, and many are wondering if it is because the victims are white.

The attack appears unprovoked, as the women did not know the black man who attacked them. Additionally, he did not attempt to steal anything from them or try any sexual crimes. He targeted three white women, beat them, and then walked away. Given these details, this would have likely been considered a hate crime in any other situation.

I contacted the Philadelphia Police Department and asked them about the incident. They responded, saying it was still under investigation.

Many on the Left frequently complain about hate crimes in this country, yet they typically reserve outrage only when the victims are nonwhite. When the attacker is a racial minority, and the victims are white, the urgency to declare such an incident a hate crime disappears. This inconsistency angers many people, especially victims of hate crimes by nonwhite people. It's a demographic that often goes unreported, even though   statistics   show a significant increase in attacks in recent years.

Currently, no one knows whether this brutal attack by a black man on three white women is a hate crime. As for now, it is just one of the many incidents of soaring violent crime in Democratic-controlled Philadelphia. But if the situation were reversed, the narrative of the incident would be completely different. And so, too, would the public's outrage and the city's response. This is, after all, the same city that lost its collective mind after finding a black doll hanging from a noose at a park — only to discover it was done by two preteens, one black and one white, as a   harmless prank .

Classifying an attack as a hate crime should be universally applied, and it shouldn't be prioritized depending on whether the victims are white, black, Latino, or Asian. Unfortunately, the Left cares more about political agendas and race-baiting than legitimately solving racial problems. As a result, hate crime classification inconsistencies will continue to plague the country.

If we ever plan to achieve racial equality and harmony in this country, we must apply laws equally across the board. Victims should not be prioritized depending on how many votes they can get Democrats during elections. Hate crimes hurt people of all races, not just those who are the focus of left-wing political agendas.

What is unbelievable is that it looks like people just continue to walk by until they are stopped by the injured women. Just another day in Democrat bastions of stupidity. Nothing to see here keep moving along. SSDD.

Sickening.

If nothing else the guy should have rushed the attacker- who might have departed sooner- rather than sticking around to get a few extra shots in; and then strolling away like nothing happened.

See that type of behavior all the time in these types of videos. People getting assaulted on a bus others just sitting there. People getting attacked in broad daylight as others go about their business. I don’t get it.

Not really. What if the attacker had a weapon or worse: gun? You could see. . .escalation.  As it appears, the attacker turned and saw people heading in his direction and decided to walk on and thus the situation (bad as it is) deescalated.

As if this is not bad enough, you see a place to insert a 'dig' at politics. BTW, has it not escaped your notice that politics is partially what gets states into these types of dynamic states anyway? At first I was going to ignore this slight from you-but, no not today!

Decided to walk on, he's lucky one of these gals wasn't carrying, he'd be dead.  He's a real bad ass, maybe he can go beat up a few 4th graders.

It means our systems are out of wack, and instead of freeing up good for all, some policies and laws are in place that maintain the status quos that are creating a morass of violence and then when the inevitable happens, everybody says: See? Told you so. But, I don't intend to debate you on what you can see (and feel) for yourself. We, you and I have our own 'dynamics' between us right now. So,. . . bye.

Because we are trained to be sheep. Trained to be victims. They don't want us defending ourselves. People who defend themselves tend to be independent and think for themselves.

I never go anywhere without protection. Even if it’s just my mace. I’ve been eyeballing a nice taser at shooters world. Think that will be my next purchase.

Self-protection is a good thing, in general. Even a self-defense course or set of videos studied diligently can help. Youtube has a 'ton' of them.

“Everyday I lose a little more faith in humanity.”

Respectfully disagree, Jane. Though these stories are horrific and occur all too frequently, there are stories of compassion, of kindness, of selflessness that occur every second of every day that sustain my hope in humanity. They may not warrant coverage or commentary, but they are nonetheless meaningful.

More so in these times…peace.

OK, well if you don’t even have a suspect in custody, it’s kind of hard to state with any certainty what all the charges might be. When they identify this guy and arrest him, they may learn something about his motivation. Then, it would make sense to charge him with a hate crime - or not.

Remember Eric Holder's interpretation of a hate crime? He said whites as victims could not qualify. I'm sure that Garland has the same mindset.

Can you link his quote on this? Because I don't remember him saying anything like that. And the ignorant assumption that Garland would feel the same without any statement from him stating such seems pathetic at best and a vile intentional partisan lie unless you can back it up with any actual evidence.

Currently, no one knows whether this brutal attack by a black man on three white women is a hate crime. - From the article.

I condemn this man for an unprovoked attack on these specific women and women of any color!

The quote above seems to be 'doubting' accusing of authorities or whomsoever itself. Let  it play itself out. Many times hate crime charges are filed at the federal level to my knowledge.

Also, my understanding is something hateful has to be stated and/or written or explicit to make violence a hate crime. Where am I wrong?

It is stomach-turning to see this assault on three women. And, this guy is caught on 'tape' saying something I can not make out.

Can any of you make out what he says?

I understand. I tried hard to make out what he said, because this is bad. I hate seeing anybody get attacked like that (saw it walking down the street twenty some years ago and never will forget it), especially women.
