Hilarious and lame: Biden tries to blame Republican governors for his border crisis | Washington Examiner
"I heard you can get a lot of help out there," an immigrant's friend texted him through WhatsApp after news of the Martha's Vineyard flight spread. "Is it true?" That's right: The DeSantis flight was so harmful to the migrants involved that migrants from around the world are now lining up, hoping to get similar flights.

The flight of illegal immigrants from San Antonio to Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, organized by FloridaGov. Ron DeSantis is the political gift that keeps on giving. According to the Democrats, this flight so traumatized the immigrants involved that a civil rights lawsuit has been filed on their behalf.

But back in the real world, according to the Los Angeles Times, when the immigrants' friends and relatives overseas heard what happened to them, they … decided to try and come to the United States too.

SENATE DEMOCRATS COURTING 10 REPUBLICANS TO LEGALIZE DACA IN LAME-DUCK SESSION

"I heard you can get a lot of help out there," an immigrant's friend texted him through WhatsApp after news of the Martha's Vineyard flight spread. "Is it true?" That's right: The DeSantis flight was so harmful to the migrants involved that migrants from around the world are now lining up, hoping to get similar flights.

And the Biden administration is even trying to blame the border crisis, a crisis that Biden started 18 months before the DeSantis flight, on DeSantis.

Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Chris Magnus told the New York Times: "It's safe to say what's going on is a pull factor, which is somewhat ironic given the criticism from some of these same governors involved in this about various pull factors that they claim already exist."

It's good to see a Biden administration official finally acknowledge, after creating a full-blown crisis, that there are "pull factors" drawing people to enter the U.S. illegally. But it is laughable to claim that it is the free bus rides from Texas and Arizona to the East Coast that are causing them to come.

Not even Biden's open-borders allies are buying this argument. "People are not fleeing and trying to exercise their human right to seek safety because of a free bus ride," Amnesty International USA Advocacy Director Amy Fischer said.

Fischer is right, but she is wrong about people having a right to come to the U.S. Nearly 7 million immigrants have fled Venezuela since 2014. They have been living safely and free from government persecution in other countries for almost a decade now. There is no reason for them to come to the U.S. specifically, and they have no legal right to come here. There is no universal human right to move to whatever country on Earth you want.

The only reason these immigrants are illegally crossing our southern border now is that they are being told by the immigrants already here that the southern border is open, thanks to President Joe Biden. They know that the current Biden administration policy is to catch people illegally crossing the southern border and then release them into the U.S. to go wherever they want.

Until that policy changes, until Biden swallows his pride and reimplements President Donald Trump's successful "Remain in Mexico" program, the border crisis, which is killing record numbers of illegal immigrants, will only get worse.

This is what happens when you elect stupid into office.  This bumbling idiot STILL doesn't grasp that it's his own policies that is allowing it to happen.

To top it off the hypocrite democrats that declared their cities sanctuary cities also declared an emergency when the illegals arrived in their cities and shipped them off on somewhere else.

How do they know this?

It's not true

I missed this - they're texting the information.

Still false.

Are you trying to claim that migrants don't have cell phones; or that they are incapable of using them to send a text message?

Please, do elaborate.

I didn't miss anything.

What are you trying to claim?

That illegals aren't telling friends and relatives to come that our southern border is obviously wide open. Or that migrants don't own cell phones; and if they do don't know how to operate them?

Which is it?

Both are provably false. Just trying to figure out which you are wrong about.

Darned right they are doing that. Living right on the border, I have friends that are Border Patrol agents who tell me that after apprehension, the first thing many illegals do is whip out their cell phones and call or text their family or buds back home and brag that they are safely across the border.

Nearly 750 migrants have died at the southern border this fiscal year, a record that surpasses last year’s total by more than 200 people, according to Department of Homeland Security figures shared with CNN.

Migrants often face treacherous terrain when crossing the border – including oppressive desert heat, dangerous waters and falling from the border wall.

Since October 1, which marks the start of the fiscal year, there have been 748 deaths, a Homeland Security official told CNN, with a month still left to go in the fiscal year. That’s up from 557 southwest border deaths during fiscal year 2021, the previous record.

The figures don’t always capture all deaths, as other state and local agencies may recover bodies without Border Patrol involvement, meaning the number of deaths is likely higher.

This has been the deadliest year ever for migrants trying to cross the U.S.-Mexico border. More than 800 migrants have died border-wide in the fiscal year that ends this week, according to internal government figures shared by a senior Border Patrol official.

Drownings are part of the reason why. Hundreds more have perished from extreme heat in remote borderlands, or in the backs of tractor-trailers.

Eagle Pass has emerged as one of the more dangerous crossing points on the border — especially after heavy rains, when the river is high. Earlier this month, nine migrants were recovered from the river near Eagle Pass on a single day.

Not even Democrat media tools agree with you.

So record breaking numbers crossing the border under Brandon's watch means nothing? Living in denial is no way to operate.

.

By the end of June, border officials apprehended people more than 1.74 million times, breaking the record from the total number during the government’s 2021 fiscal year of more than 1.73 million, which at the time was the highest number of illegal crossings recorded since at least 1960. The government’s fiscal year ends Sept. 30, and at this rate, the total number of crossings for the year is likely to exceed two million.

Total CBP Enforcement Actions

Numbers below reflect Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 - FY 2022.

Fiscal Year 2022 runs October 01, 2021 - September 30, 2022.

  FY17 FY18 FY19 FY20 FY21 FY22YTD
Office of Field Operations (OFO) Total Encounters 1 216,370 281,881 288,523 241,786 294,352 488,695
U.S. Border Patrol Total Encounters 2 310,531 404,142 859,501 405,036 1,662,167 2,005,026

1 Beginning in March FY20, OFO Encounters statistics include both Title 8 Inadmissibles and Title 42 Expulsions. To learn more, visit Title-8-and-Title-42-Statistics . Inadmissibles refers to individuals encountered at ports of entry who are seeking lawful admission into the United States but are determined to be inadmissible, individuals presenting themselves to seek humanitarian protection under our laws, and individuals who withdraw an application for admission and return to their countries of origin within a short timeframe.

2 Beginning in March FY20, USBP Encounters statistics include both Title 8 Apprehensions and Title 42 Expulsions. To learn more, visit Title-8-and-Title-42-Statistics . Apprehensions refers to the physical control or temporary detainment of a person who is not lawfully in the U.S. which may or may not result in an arrest.

Brandon and the Democrats have been ringing the dinner bell for migrants since the Democrat primaries. They have changed to a gong since taking power in 2021.

If there is no border crisis then why are virtue signaling racist Democrats bitching so much about receiving just a fraction of the migrants entering this country?

A "crisis" on the border is usually a matter of degree from one administration to another. The current one just happens to orders of magnitude over the previous one. If President Biden had not opened the floodgates wide open to illegal immigration on day one of his administration and appointed somebody other than Kamala Harris to oversee it, things probably would be better. Harris has thus far proven totally incompetent as a border czar. Either way, Biden owns this one big time!

It's amusing that Democrats don't even have to offer coherent arguments to keep their base enraged.

Left side of the mouth: "Transporting illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities is human trafficking! The illegal aliens are being abused!

Right side of the mouth "The illegals are so happy with being transported to sanctuary cities they are encouraging more illegal immigration!"
