The Justice Department found six new classified documents inside President Joe Biden's Delaware home during a search by FBI agents, the president's attorney announced Saturday night.

The discovery during a day-long search Friday marked the fifth time since November that classified materials have been found in an office or home of the 46th president.

"DOJ requested that the search not be made public in advance, in accordance with its standard procedures, and we agreed to cooperate," Biden personal attorney Bob Bauer said in a statement.

"DOJ had full access to the President's home, including personally handwritten notes, files, papers, binders, memorabilia, to-do lists, schedules, and reminders going back decades," he added. "DOJ took possession of materials it deemed within the scope of its inquiry, including six items consisting of documents with classification markings and surrounding materials, some of which were from the President's service in the Senate and some of which were from his tenure as Vice President. DOJ also took for further review personally handwritten notes from the vice-presidential years."

George Washington University law school professor Jonathan Turley said the latest discovery undercut Biden's defense of an inadvertent mishandling of documents and required more than his stated lack of remorse.

"It becomes increasing implausible that dozens of documents were distributed to at least four different locations by pure 'inadvertence,'" Turley tweeted Sunday morning, "At what point do the mounting stacks of classified documents produce a modicum of regret?"

The six memos found Friday are in addition to 11 classified documents found at the Biden home in Wilmington, Del., beginning on Dec. 20.

In addition, more classified documents were found at the Penn Biden Center in Washington back on Nov. 2.

The discoveries have transformed the politics of a scandal that first started with the discovery of documents with classified markings in former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, which prompted an FBI raid.

Biden slammed Trump as irresponsible, only to see the controversy boomerang around on him with the discovery of classified materials in his own possession at insecure locations.

As recently as Friday Biden was trying to minimize the discoveries, saying there was "no there, there."

But after the new search on Friday, congressional Republicans immediately seized on the revelation that even more documents had been found.

"I guess there wasn't nothing there there, Mr. President," Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., tweeted Saturday night in mocking derision.

The longer this continues, the more the appearance of "cooperation" dwindles.  Although he has had the documents for 6 years now and no attempt to return them, I'd say cooperation never existed.

It is well beyond 6 years; as they have found classified documents (and notes on classified information) from when he was a Senator as well.

Brandon is a habitual law breaker now. No argument can be made that these were all simply "mistakenly mishandled".

But leftists still insist he is "cooperating fully".

I wonder how "fully cooperating" exonerates Biden in Leftist Land?

But that won't stop the idiots from trying to make excuses.

The cooperation went out the window when he failed to return the documents.

In their minds the fact he's not his predecessor is enough.  Despite reality.

It seems to me that if one is 'fully cooperating', they would have turned over ALL the documents, especially after having searched themselves for them and declaring they found 'nothing'.

Fully cooperating implies these were turned in 6 years ago.  Not spread out in every office Dementia Joe walked into.

Just exactly who is in charge of these classified documents, and why did they not get the documents back?

Joe Biden doesn't seem to care about this at all besides how it might affect his political future.

Biden doesn't even know what day it is or where he is let alone how this will affect his future.  As long as he got his pudding today he's seems to be all good with it.

Just exactly who is in charge of these classified documents, Hunter? and why did they not get the documents back? He was hoping to sell them to pay child support for the hooker he knocked up?
The best part is he is now suing the hooker to prevent her from giving the child the "Biden" last name. He doesn't wan't the name sullied in that way.
Hunter doesn't want anybody sullying the Biden name. let that sink in for a moment.
Has Joe seen his granddaughter? or is waiting until she is old enough to molest in the shower?

Emphasis mine.

By the DOJ allowing Biden's lawyers to conduct the search, the highlighted parts were gleaned through and not turned over, whereas when the DOJ does the search they take things like the highlighted stuff for further review.

The difference between Biden and Trump is the way the searches were conducted, Trump's was to get as much ancillary materials as possible without interference from Trump or his lawyers, the DOJ wasn't actually interested in recovering the classified documents and Biden is to coverup as much as possible any activity surrounding the classified documents.  Let's see if what was let go during this last and final search was what the lawyers already knew about and little damage would be done to Biden with their release.

It's also very curious that the Bidens spent this past weekend at their Rehoboth beach house, a potential crime scene. It, too, is on the search list for more confidential files that Biden illegally holds.

That's the double standard.  Somebody's legal team needs to be paying very close attention to how this is panning out.

DOJ took possession of materials it deemed within the scope of its inquiry

Garland's concept of "justice" regarding scope of inquiry is two-tiered and a farce.

For Biden, it's narrow and was done by Biden's personal lawyers and aides, some of whom did not have security clearances.

For Trump, was wide ... and included an FBI armed raid, staged photos shared with the media, napkins, and passports. It also prohibited Trump's personal lawyers from entering the building.

NLPC has called upon the Special Counsel to conduct a search of   Joe Biden ’s Senate records stored at the   University of Delaware . The request follows revelations that additional   classified documents   were discovered Friday at President Biden’s home in Wilmington, Delaware, during a 13-hour search by the FBI. The documents reportedly include at least one document from the time that Biden served in the Senate.

In 2011, Biden donated a treasure trove of documents from his 36-year career in the U.S. Senate (January 1973-January 2009) that fills 1,875 boxes, and also includes 415 gigabytes of electronic records. During his Senate career, Biden was Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee or its ranking member, and had access to many classified documents.

“This scavenger hunt for classified documents has been a total farce and insult to the American people,” said Peter Flaherty, Chairman of NLPC. “The House Oversight Committee, Special Counsel, and NLPC’s FOIA investigation need to get to the bottom of Biden’s mishandling classified information.”

NLPC has also criticized the handling of this matter by Biden’s private attorneys, who are not cleared to review classified information and who may have tainted evidence of a crime with their fingerprints and mishandling.

Other locations that Biden occupied since leaving office in January 2017 should also be searched. He first had a temporary transition office set up by GSA near the White House. Then a temporary Penn Biden Center facility was opened mid-town in Washington, D.C., before the office was opened in February 2018 near the Capitol. Biden also rented a 12,000-square-foot mansion in McLean, Virginia at $20,000 a month after he left the White House, about twice the size of his home Wilmington, Delaware.

This is why nothing ever happens, or will happen, to DC folks. They all have skeletons. Finger pointing and name calling, that's all we will get. You want someone in DC to go to jail? They'll need to really break the law, something along the lines of taking someone's bags at the airport. That's where we are at.
