House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) explained that FBI DirectorChristopher Wray said "he was going to redact" the subpoenaed Biden documents with the condition that the information be viewed in a secure and private manner.

On Wednesday, Comer announced that during a phone call with Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Wray, the FBI director confirmed the existence of the FD-1023 form alleging a "criminal scheme" involving President Joe Biden, but failed to commit to providing the form to the House Oversight Committee.

"He offered us the opportunity to look at it in a private room, but he was going to redact it," Comer told Hannity. "My experience with getting documents from the FBI when they're redacted [is] it's all black lines — they don't show anything."

Comer said that Wray only admitted the form existed after he and Grassley said they had already seen a copy of the form.

"The level of confidence that we have with Director Wray only went down and only declined throughout the conversation," he noted.

The Kentucky congressman added that his confidence in the merit of the allegations contained within the form remain, not only because of the "credibility of the whistleblower," but because of a "pattern of behavior" seen from the Biden family.

"The reason we find this allegation credible, is not only because of the credibility of the whistleblower, but because we've seen a pattern of Joe Biden when he was vice president leaving a country after he talks about foreign aid and foreign policy and his family members start receiving payments from that company through shell companies that are then laundered down to family members," Comer said. "So there is a pattern of behavior."

On Wednesday, Grassley warned that Wray has failed to comply with the terms of the subpoena, which "comes with consequences."

Comer said the House Oversight Committee will continue its contempt of Congress proceedings unless Wray "produces these documents like we asked — these unclassified documents — by Tuesday or Wednesday, whenever we have the markup."

In a statement released Tuesday, the FBI accused Comer of escalating the situation, calling the talk of holding Wray in contempt "unnecessary."

"The FBI remains committed to cooperating with the Committee in good faith. In a letter to Chairman Comer earlier today, the FBI committed to providing access to information responsive to the Committee's subpoena in a format and setting that maintains confidentiality and protects important security interests and the integrity of FBI investigations," the FBI statement said.

Why on earth is the head of the FBI stonewalling Congress and refusing to comply with legal subpoenas for documents which are not even classified?

What is he trying to hide and cover up?

Simple. Wray is covering up the international crimes of the (VP- JOE) Biden Family Syndicate.

It does seem to me that anyone NOT doing that would gladly give Congress a simple, unclassified document.  rather than face contempt charges.

They want to redact an UNCLASSIFIED document?  WTF is Wray trying to hide?

Exactly.

WTF is he hiding, indeed.

Funny that no liberals seem the least bit curious as to what the form actually may reveal.

They're still trying to figure out how to place the blame on a particular person.

At this point Wray, Garland, and the entire Brandon Administration are thumbing their noses at House Republicans.

This goes beyond obstruction.

Laws no longer apply to Democrats or their chosen ones; and they aren't afraid to show anyone that tries to defy them.

This is the part that really cracks me up:

"The FBI remains committed to cooperating with the Committee in good faith. In a letter to Chairman Comer earlier today, the FBI committed to providing access to information responsive to the Committee's subpoena in a format and setting that maintains confidentiality and protects important security interests and the integrity of FBI investigations," the FBI statement said.

Good faith cooperation?

Is that what the FBI calls not complying with legal subpoenas nowadays?

Liars!

I guess it all depends on how they are redefining words today...

Looks like that for sure.

It isn't even a classified document, so that really makes me wonder what's in it that Wray doesn't want anyone else to know?

And is Wray the one really making that decision, or is he taking orders?

Unbelievable. The FBI leaks like a sieve to embarrass Trump and treats an  unclassified document that could hurt Biden like a more important secret than the nuclear codes.

Wray should tell Comer to go fuck himself.

The Republicans produced three so called FBI "whistleblowers" who were not legitimate whistleblowers. Wray has no responsibility to aid and abet that train wreck of a committee.

Sounds like something no normal person would say when faced with contempt of Congress charges.

Does the document exist or not? Wray says it does, he just refuses to comply with the legal subpoena.

Wray deserves to lose his job over this fiasco.

I wonder who is telling him to defy subpoenas? What has he been promised?

Anyone who was awake during the Obama/Biden/Hillary/Comey/Brennan/etc years knows the answer to that.

What has he been promised?

Comey knows the answer to that. Lucrative book deals, interviews with friendly media, speeches.

Cribbed from the pages of "how to be a totalitarian 101".  Oversight by the people only exists to the extent those in power want it to.

You of course have proof of this you can provide- and not just a bunch of House Democrats bloviating.

Considering the low standard that Democrats set for whistleblowers with Vindman who cobbled together a faux allegation using nothing but hearsay; anyone qualifies as a whistleblower.

Since MSNBC, CNN, et al,  said they weren't legitimate whistleblowers, their viewers blindly believe whatever the pundits claim.

It is a Congressional committee like many others.

You just don't like it because you are afraid of what might be revealed about Biden family pay-offs.

Isn't it odd that this was a "normal committee" up until the Democrats lost the majority?  But hell, even with a Democrat majority the "normal" committee blasted Geriatric Joe on his failures in his first 100 days.

Not even a hint of curiosity?
