California prepares for more wacky 2024 laws | Washington Examiner

Another year, another chance for California Democrats to show just how wacky they are and how far away their "California model" should be kept from any level of power outside the Golden State.
The new year rings in California's new laws, and several of them are as silly, inconvenient, and destructive as you would expect. One of the most prominent ones is the creation of "Ebony Alert," a segregated offshoot of the Amber Alert system designed only for black girls and women who go missing. Yes, it is a different system from the Amber Alert system that black girls and women can also be reported to, but don't worry, it is just as good. You could even say it is "separate but equal."
California is also embracing the opposite of segregation, though, regarding children's toys. Major retailers will now be forced to have clearly labeled "gender-neutral" displays for children's toys so you can make sure your two-spirit gender-fluid nonbinary toddler isn't confused by Barbies or Hot Wheels.
California will also be banning the sale of gas-powered lawn equipment such as chainsaws or leaf blowers because that will surely make up for China's growing carbon emissions and save the planet from the seven different doomsdays climate change activists have put on the calendar.
And why not throw a minimum wage hike for fast food workers that is already throwing hundreds of them out of business before it has even been enacted? Wouldn't be a normal year in California without the government running people out of their jobs, would it?
The one thing you can count on California for is consistency, even though that consistency is running the state into the ground. So chalk California up for another year of ruinous economic policies, useless climate policies, poverty, and homelessness, but this time without those dastardly gendered toy sections at Target.
No Trump or fascist nonsense.

Well, thank God all those delivery drivers who used to deliver pizzas and got fired won't get confused in the toy section now.
California has some really, really messed up priorities.
It is no wonder sane people are leaving the state.
Last people left there need to turn off the lights…
pretty impressive how quickly newsom and the progressives destroyed that state. Killing 160 or so years of growth is not easy.
