An international fugitive from Mexico, living in the United States illegally and wanted for murder by Interpol, cried as she was arrested last week in Texas.

Leo Acosta Sanchez, 21, was captured on May 24, when she was pulled over during a routine traffic stop, as part of a collaboration between local and federal authorities.

"During a routine patrol, vigilant Splendora Police officers identified the wanted individual behind the wheel of a vehicle and promptly called for backup," the department announced Saturday.

"Following the arrival of additional units, a traffic stop was conducted, leading to the immediate arrest of the driver, identified as Leo Acosta Sanchez," it continued.

Authorities knew Sanchez was living in the area, was wanted by Interpol, and knew of her travel habits.

"The suspect, who had been illegally residing in our state and country, was known to travel between the City and her residence in Terrenos."

Terrenos is a residential community advertising cheap land for sale outside Houston.

"In a joint effort with the Department of Homeland Security, Mrs. Sanchez was taken into custody to face charges related to the alleged crimes committed," the department said.

Officials have not disclosed the exact charges Sanchez faces or given any details regarding the alleged murder.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) told Fox News Digital that Sanchez is originally from Mexico.

"Acosta entered the United States as a nonimmigrant on Aug. 20, 2023, and violated the terms of her admission," the federal law enforcement agency said. "She remains in ICE custody pending disposition of her immigration proceedings."

Photos shared by the Splendora police showed Sanchez captured seemingly crying with her hands cuffed behind her as she sat in the back of a police cruiser.

"Splendora Police commends the swift and effective collaboration with our Federal partners in ensuring the apprehension of this dangerous individual," Splendora authorities said.

Traitor Joe's open border policies allowed this fugitive to cross into the US.  Texas law enforcement trying to clean up Traitor Joe's mess, rightfully, made the arrest.

Tell me again, how they are all "asylum seekers" looking to better their lives?
