Joe Biden on Course for Worst State Performance for Democrats in 100 Years - Newsweek

Another feat.............and not a good one
Joe Biden is on course for the worst Democratic performance in Iowa since 1924, according to a new poll.
The Democratic president is set to face Republican challenger Donald Trump in November's election. Polls have so far shown that the results of the 2020 White House rematch will be tight, with the pair statistically tied, or holding only marginal leads in a number of surveys.
However, according to a Des Moines Register/Ann Selzer poll, there is one state where Biden is particularly lagging behind Trump—Iowa. It's a key former swing state that has moved to the right in the last decade. In the 2016 presidential election, Trump won the state with 51 percent of the vote and in 2020 he increased his share to 53 percent.

According to the poll of 632 likely voters, conducted between June 9 and June 14, Trump will come up on top a third time when voters go to the ballots later this year. It shows Trump is on 50 percent of the vote in the state, while Biden is on 32 percent. It has a margin of error of +/- 3.9 percentage points.
This marks a slight decline in Biden's support from when the pollsters last surveyed likely voters in February, and found Trump led Biden 48 percent to 33 percent.
If Biden receives 32 percent of the vote share in November, this would represent the worst Democratic performance there since 1924, when the Republican presidential candidate Calvin Coolidge received 55.02 percent of the vote and the Democratic candidate, John W. Davis, garnered just 16.42 percent of the vote share.
In the intervening years, no Democrat has received under 40 percent of the vote in the Republican since 1980, when in a matchup with the Republican presidential candidate Ronald Reagan, Democrat Jimmy Carter received 38.6 percent of the vote.
Newsweek contacted a representative for Biden by email outside of normal business hours to comment.
Forecasts like these may be significant as the election will likely be determined by a handful of key swing states, as the Electoral College system awards each state a certain number of votes based on population.
A presidential candidate must secure 270 electoral votes for victory, and winning the national popular vote doesn't guarantee success.
However, with less than five months to go until polling day, it is still too early to call the results of the election.
On June 27, Biden and Trump are set to square off in Atlanta for the first of two scheduled debates ahead of the general election on November 5.

The heart of America is speaking....................
Iowa was a swing state….
Yep, Donald Trump is an asswipe clown who cannot string three words together into a coherent thought. Trump is rude, crude, and frankly stupid. Donald Trump is a convicted felon.
And Donald Trump is still a better choice than Joe Biden by an order of magnitude. Trump ain't Democrats biggest problem.
They're saying loud and clear.....
JOE MUST GO!!!
