Jesse Watters: Does Kamala Harris want what's best for the country or does she really just want the job?

Fox News host Jesse Watters argues Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz are cogs in the Democratic Party machine on 'Jesse Watters Primetime.'

Fox News host Jesse Watters argues Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz are cogs in the Democratic Party machine Tuesday on "Jesse Watters Primetime."

JESSE WATTERS:Actress Kamala Harris pretending to take important phone calls so she doesn't have to answer important questions from reporters. "Madam Vice President, do you still support reparations? Sorry, I'm on a call."

How do we know no one was on the other end of the line? Well, when your earbuds are in, you don't have to hold the phone to your ear. This phony campaign looks the same no matter who's on the ticket.

Here's Tim Walz. "What do you think about dead American hostages. Guys, I got a milkshake. It's going to melt. I got to go." Here's how different these campaigns are. Trump-Vance: 34 interviews since last month. Harris-Walz: one

Columnist, J. Peder Zane says Kamala Harris is just a cog in the Democrats machine. We shouldn't be fixated, really, on what Kamala knows or believes. No one's really voting for Harris. Democrats are voting for the party, not the face of the party. So when President Biden's turned to craggy, she was tapped as a more youthful, attractive spokesmodel. Like Biden, her vacuity is her appeal.

Vice President Kamala Harris speaks during a campaign event in Detroit, Michigan, US, on Monday, Sept. 2, 2024.(Emily Elconin/Bloomberg via Getty Images)

She's another empty vessel the Democrats' marketing whizzes can fill with blithe slogans. Democrats don't want decisive leaders who guide the nation. They don't want a president with vision. They want someone they can control.

The name on the ballot is largely irrelevant. Kamala's own thoughts are largely irrelevant. Her lack of insight and conviction is a plus. She won't be able to push back on anything the machine wants, like wars or profits or censorship.

Jesse Watters is 100% spot on, much better than the guy who left.

Harris will never be able disassociate from Biden's failures, especially since she is equally responsible for them.

How are her policies and agenda different than Biden's?

Makes no difference since these puppets are being manipulated by the power masters behind the scenes.

Try Google if you genuinely care, but that is neither the topic of the seed, nor of my comment.

He's a wannbe Tucker.

Grover Norquist could not have said it better, but he was talking about the GOP

We don't need someone who can think.  We need someone with enough digits to hold a pen.

Kamala's handlers seem deathly afraid of the press.

Poor things.

Watters is the worst. It should be embarrassing that this wackjob has a show.

Democrats are voting for the party, not the face of the party.

In every election, that’s true for a lot of people, be they Democrat or Republican.

How can anyone vote for Harris? She, and her cowardly running mate refuse to answer questions about policy. It's like voting for a glass of water.  The only substance comes from anonymous leaks by her saying she no longer supports the things previously claimed to support.

Her aides claim she no longer supports electric car mandates. She's never said that. Would she veto the bill she co-sponsored in 2019 containing a mandate? Who knows?

If only there were some method by which she could communicate her positions to voters.

Nancy had them pegged right when she said a "D" behind a glass of water ensured votes.

Ok, well that's obviously not true. They just did an interview with CNN where they answered questions on the economy, prices, taxes, housing, fracking, the border, and Israel, among other topics.

Lol. One, joint, interview from a friendly outlet in months and that's enough for her cheerleaders. How dare anyone ask her to explain herself to voters? She talked once, just like an adult!  ! She's so brave, she might even try and do it before the election without a man to hold her hand!

Maybe try watching the interview and decide for yourself. Or there are many articles on it, probably with fact-checking. Look for that.

One, joint, interview

So, when you said they refused to answer questions, that was factually untrue - which I think you knew when you said it. Guess what we call that?

from a friendly outlet

That’s an…interesting claim, but I have seen no evidence that it’s true.

She's so brave, she might even try and do it before the election without a man to hold her hand!

Please detail, with specificity, exactly how he “held her hand.” How did that work? How would the interview have been different if he hadn’t been there?

Also, are you aware that most presidential nominees have done joint interviews with their VP selection, going back several elections? And that includes Trump and Pence. If it’s fine for them, it should be fine for Harris and Walz. Or do you only make the accusation because this candidate is a woman?

ou said they refused to answer questions, that was factually untrue

Except all the times they refuse to answer questions, which makes it true.  Ask Walz for a statement on Hamas murdering an American and watch him flee.

have seen no evidence that it’s true.

Watch the Vance interview and the HArris team interview by Bash. Let's see if you can spot the difference.

st presidential nominees have done joint interviews with their VP selection, going back several elections?

I'm curious if you genuinely don't see the obvious rebuttal coming when you throw such a softball, or just care because it's just a quantity over quality thing?   the Harris team really isn't that discerning, so even the most obvious nonsense plays, right?

ake the accusation because this candidate is a woman?

Of course. When in trouble, play the sexism card.

Except all the times they refuse to answer questions, which makes it true.

So if a candidate ever doesn’t take questions, that makes them a coward in general vis a vis the press? That seems very arbitrary, as any public figure may refuse to answer questions at any time. And they do.

You do know that Trump refuses questions all the time. Or maybe you don’t. He does it quite often, actually, and has done it for years. Here, you can see the coward (by your standard, after all) in action:

youtube

youtu.be

youtu.be

Or he just attacks the person asking the question:

youtu.be

youtu.be

youtu.be

In fact, he has repeatedly labeled most news media and their reporters as “fake news.”

Watch the Vance interview and the HArris team interview by Bash. Let's see if you can spot the difference.

That’s absurd. It’s up to you to make your own case. It’s not my job to try and support your argument for you. i.e., I’m not going to hold your hand.

I'm curious if you genuinely don't see the obvious rebuttal coming when you throw such a softball

And yet you still didn’t even take a swing at this alleged softball.

Of course. When in trouble, play the sexism card.

I asked a question which you didn’t answer - a few, actually. Do you still think that’s cowardly? You still don’t explain why anyone should care that Walz was there, or what you mean when you say he held her hand, or why it’s not ok for Harris/Walz, but it is ok for Trump/Pence. Can you explain yourself?

Don’t know where my links went, but here they are:

And there are more to be found, of course. The point of all this being that any politician chooses when to do interviews or not, what questions they will answer, and so on.
