Anti-Trump leftists can't stop spreading disinformation in a desperate bid to make their skewed worldview make sense.
In Chicago last week, local Democratic leaders stoked panic over claims that ICE agents had shown up at a local elementary school.
Chicago Public Schools Chief Education Officer Bogdana Chkoumbova claimed school staff had "kept ICE agents outside of the school" and affirmed that "we will not coordinate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents."
Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker piled on, blustering, "After a week of Republicans sowing fear and chaos, the first reports of raids in Chicago are at an elementary school."
One problem: There were no ICE agents at the school. They were Secret Service agents, looking into a threat against a government official.
Turns out it was Pritzker and his Democratic cohorts "sowing fear and chaos."
That's nothing new: For years, the left, helped along by the hysterical media, have consistently twisted the truth to paint Democrats as do-gooders and anyone who disagrees with them as cartoonish villains.
Yet they keep getting caught.
To cast Trump supporters as racist, New York Magazine ran a story last week smearing a Trump inauguration celebration organized by GOP Youth Advisory Council co-chair C.J. Pearson, a black man, as "almost" entirely white — and was promptly called out for cropping several non-white attendees out of the cover photo.
Talk about erasing minorities' lived experiences.
When the media isn't editing out inconvenient truths, its outright lying: Back in September, The New York Times dismissed video evidence and eyewitness reports that Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gangbangers had set up base at multiple apartment buildings in Aurora, Colo., and were terrorizing residents. Its headline: "How the False Story of a Gang 'Takeover' in Colorado Reached Trump."
Whoops: Things in the Denver suburb got so bad that a local judge had to shut down one of the overrun complexes due to the "imminent threat" the gang posed to the public after 14 Tren members were busted on kidnapping and torturing charges.
Trump-ordered raids in Gotham last week turned up Tren ringleader Anderson Zambrano-Pacheco, one of the thugs caught on camera allegedly breaking into an apartment in Aurora.
You'd think after being unmasked as untrustworthy partisans in such a humiliating fashion again and again, Democrats and their left-leaning media sock puppets might ease up on the spinning.
But they're proud of their disinfo.
Just look at hack Jim Acosta, who's being sent to pasture by CNN as the network discovers feverish anti-Trumpism no longer sells.
On his way out the door, he told viewers: "Don't give in to the lies. Don't give in to the fear. Hold on to the truth."
Reminder: This is the guy who equated questioning Joe Biden's mental acuity with birtherism and said Trump was "claiming a popular vote victory that did not occur," after the prez very much did win the popular vote.
Even as their whoppers keep getting demolished, progressives are stuck clinging to their fantasies: Trump is evil! We're the good guys!
The silver lining: The rest of America seems happy to move on without them.

TDS rots the brain, even when proven wrong, they still bleat trump and why it is bad........because Trump. Any criticism from a the group that said Biden was coherent, and supported a candidate who was appointed after getting zero support in the last primary has zero credibility.
I would say they keep doing it because it works. Their base doesn't care if it's true, they just want to be outraged and feel oppressed.
Nah Jim, I think they have the market cornered - it is the right that has to defend itself ... meanwhile the left just keeps going - they made Rachel Maddow (someone I used to watch) go back to 5 days a week in order to boost ratings ... lies mean nothing, because it is seen as the 'rights problem'...

Tell a complete lie
Defend the lie and personally attack anyone who points out the truth
When the proof is overwhelming that the lie exists say, "who cares, it's time to move on"
How can a Trump supporter criticize anyone for lying? Trump is the most notorious liar of our times. Politicians routinely lie but Trump has set the bar so high that he is the only one in his club.
It is simply not credible to ask people to direct their concerns of dishonesty at others when those making the accusations of lying give Trump a pass at every turn.
Trump's latest insane lie is that his tariffs will not cause consumer prices to rise (and now he admits that he was stupidly wrong) coupled with his admission that he lied about reducing consumer prices (now he says it is hard to do) and lied about ending the Ukraine war with a phone call while president elect (now he says it is up to Putin). (so many more)
Lying has become an epidemic in political circles. This disgusts me personally to no end. So I condemn lying by anyone, but am especially critical of those who criticize others of lying yet defend the endless lies of Trump.

What a strange question. Why would a D not be able to criticize Trump for lying? What is so special about Ds (vs. Rs, Libertarians, ..., and independents) with regard to calling out Trump's lies.

You can live in denial all you want. Trump is President in large part because Democrats are so fundamentally dishonest that they forfeited any advantage they may have had with voters in regards to Trump's dishonesty. That Democrats, and the people who shilled for them, have no more credibility than Trump is simply a fact. The election made that crystal clear. If you can't, or won't, understand that there's really nothing anyone can do to help you.

There is nothing partisan about my statement. The lies by any group, Ds, Rs, independents, libertarians, etc. do not compare to the volume and outrageousness of Trump's.
Are you going to claim that you are not aware that Trump is known as a pathological liar ... that he lies every time he speaks in public? Nobody in the public eye, to my knowledge, is seen to be even close to Trump's level of lying. He is in a league of his own.
Consult Google about Trump's dishonesty. Watch videos of Trump speaking. Do some fact-checking. This is so obvious.
The question is how can you not? Forget the party affiliation. Just look objectively at the statements that Trump has made and compare them to the statements of anyone else.

I am not nor have I ever been a D. So D is not 'my party'. I have no party nowadays; I find parties to be a major source of our current problem.
My criticism is of Trump. And it is for cause. If you somehow cannot see that Trump is the most prolific public liar of our times then nobody will convince you otherwise. But I see it and my posts will continue to reflect that fact. You will just have to learn to live with that.
