Greetings from a Cyberspace Cadet

This is the third wave of refugees I've watched as corporate swill purges critical voices from the vine & its like an ongoing diaspora as the collect in assorted corners of cyberspace I try to stay connected with.

Tech is my worst skill so the picture upload function from Flickr isn't displaying anything which may or may not mean it worked. The approval and selection seemed to connect without a hitch but in the meantime y'all can know there's an extensive collection of random NYC from Botanical Garden to Graffiti.
It also has a vast assortment of activism with Occupy Wall Street day one through the Anniversary and assorted protests for Travon Martin, Wikileaks and Anonymous hacktivist Jeremy Hammond. Most recent is last weeks Feb 6 NDAA hearing of Hedges v Obama.

All are free to use if you can make download work better than me which is almost a given! :~) http://www.flickr.com/photos/pameladrew/sets/

Sharing goes to posts and links as well since there are more places that I want to be than I can ever get to and being somewhat connected to Anonymous my main area for linking for the past two years has been Twitter @PamelaDrew so feel free to grab anything I drop there as well and no credit or thanks since it's something that was passed to me and key is to get it circulating.

The last important thing is to the folks that do the tech here at the site. Hats off kudos & thanks for the easiest interface I've had since before Newsvine went Beta so that's as idiot proof user friendly as anyone can create!!

But on the security side please use the EFF link and add their HTTPS function that lets dippy users who aren't aware what's happening get privacy protection with a regular browser. There's also an HTTPS section where individual users can add privacy tools easily as well.

The extra S on the end of the URL is for security and to have it automatic and transparent is the way to go. The fab folks at EFF also have Tor download tutorials if you're new to privacy tools and want a hand holding safe way to tip toe into it. https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere

C'est la me sports fans, enjoy and safe travels in cyberspace! :~)

There's a 2012 favorites collection of pics that's mostly protests & easier than wading through all of them but this is one of my favoritest favorites because the Central Park skyline is kinda iconic and it's really rare for me to go above a street in the 20's so there's evidence life uptown as well!

Thanks for the privacy info! I do appreciate it as tech savvy is not exactly a strong point in my arsenal of talent. I'd read about Peer Block and the like but thus far have either been too intimidated or lazy to pursue an action. Maybe I'll get around to it now.

Glad to see you here. I always appreciated your articles on the other place.
