Good Fences Make Good Neighbors
Robert Frost's "Mending Wall" is one of my favorite poems.
I have come to think of one line in particular "Good fences make good neighbors" when getting along with individuals proved especially challenging, whether literally neighbors or simply people that I interact with either professionally, socially or simply by chance.
NewsTalkers is no different from any other neighborhood and sometimes it is better to simply put up a good fence (ignore) a particularly annoying neighbor (member) than to lower oneself to the level of a person whose stated purpose is to be annoying by their comments.
So today I built a good fence and trust that unseen (not spoken to) by me that neighbor (member) on the other side of the fence will get along just fine.
I know that I will be less stressed and better because of the fence
I come from a family of lawyers...
One day in an antique shop I found a decorative plate. It said:
Build an extra high wall!

Good advice so long as there is a gate by which one can reach out to a neighbor when the time is right!
LMAO.. This is true! We do need them from time to time.
