What Have Libertarians Done to Cause So Much Screaming?

This week I have seen two articles condemning libertarians as wrong-headed, foolish and even stupid. I have seen articles on other sights doing the same thing. This got me to thinking: What is all the screaming about?

Are libertarian starting to threaten someone? Have they upset the apple cart? Are they rocking the boat too violently?

Screaming comes from one source: Fear.

So why suddenly is there so much fear of libertarians?

My thought: Most people are afraid because they suddenly have to think about where they are and how they go there. They are suddenly having to defend something that they have blindly followed and are unable to answer its questions. They are having to think, and that is just too damn hard.

So, if thinking is too difficult, I'll do my best to do it for you.

It is best, I believe, to know the history of a political philosophy and then to make a determination if the individuals espousing their belief in that system are actually followers.

Below are some useful links to the history of libertarian thought:

For myself, I find Libertarianism to be a philosophy bent more toward the individual and an agarian society. Though I find certain aspects appealing, in a Country of over 300,000,000 it is not viable on a mass scale.

To find this type of freedom in this day and age, Idaho panhandle, Western Washington State perhaps, but not in the mainstream. My thought at any rate.
