"Canceled", no severance for you !

Darling had been told by leaders at NRB "that his statements violated the organization's policy of remaining neutral about COVID-19 vaccines," and was given two options on how to proceed — sign a statement admitting he had been insubordinate or be fired — and, "when he refused to sign a statement, Darling was fired and given no severance."
During MSNBC's Morning Joe, Darling stood by his prior pro-vaccination statements.
"I believe in this vaccine, because I don't want to see anyone else die of COVID. Our family has lost too many close friends and relatives to COVID, including an uncle, a beloved church member, and our piano teacher," Darling told Joe Scarborough.
Darling said that he was deeply proud to be among those who have been vaccinated, while encouraging others within his community to follow his lead and do the same.
In a statement reported by Ruth Graham of The New York Times, Darling said that he was "disappointed that my time at NRB has come to a close."
"I am grieved that the issues that divide our country are dividing Christians," he said in the statement, adding that he intended to devote himself to "unifying believers around the truth of the Gospel."
On his Morning Joe appearance, Darling had also commented, "when trust goes down, belief in conspiracies goes up."
Darling's termination comes at a time when the United States is battling a spike in Covid-19 cases, deaths, and hospitalizations — the vast majority of which have been among the unvaccinated.

While I can understand some ideological political remarks,
lets not include Trump or Biden in those comments.
That don't make no goddamned sense!
Are they eating their own or was Dan sneaking out to eat sea food in polyester shirts?
What is neutral exactly. That they have no opinion whatsoever?
Sounds more agnostic to me...
He doesn't have the right to express his personal opinion without losing his job? Was he acting as a spokesperson or in some other official capacity at the time?
Furthermore, why in the world is that organization "neutral" on vaccinations?
What a load of you-know-what.
Shit, all he did was speak the truth from his heart which he obviously feels is accurate
We are told religious people—especially amongst the Christian perspective: Speak the truth (in love). However, this man has suffered irreparable internal familial loss and church family. And here it is evident that the broadcasters are REWARDED for staying out of the 'life-saving' work of using their platform and team as influencers for vaccinations.
It shows the seedy, sour, underbelly of how people who crave filthy lucre keep others in check by threats of removing livelihood, career paths, or damaging-ruining their ability to control their own 'purse.'
These broadcasters' board clearly are into the buying and selling of people commodities to tow their donor bottom-line; facts and figures in favor of something other be damned! If he is not willing to 'prostittute' himself for their increase—let him go, and go broke!
this is nuts.
He's looking out for his fellow humans and they fire him for it????
Would Jesus approve?
And no severance pay. Likely blackballed too on conservative job sites. No Jesus does not teach revenge and "damages.' (Smile.)
This is conservatives sending a message to toe-the-line or else! A power-play.
I read this article on my newsfeed this morning. While I don't agree with particular Evangelical group's stance - Mr Darling knew the rules and had the choice of his conscience or his job. I respect him for his conscience choice. It's hypocritical to support canceling those we don't agree with when they don't follow rules AND THEN get upset when some we do agree with get canceled because they didn't follow rules they were given. I'm not saying we can't disagree with the rules they were given...
I think I understand what you are 'saying.' For me, I am okay with Mr. Darling departing the ranks of a group of corrupt controllers who value the coin of the realm over the truth and saving lives. Mr. Darling supplied his rationale for doing so (family and friends deaths matter to him). He stands for something. What 'upsets' me about this: These broadcasters, who clearly weigh in on other 'hot-button' issues through their conservative components, want to be neutral in the instance where it can cause loss of life! Disturbing. Needs to be called out!
