Sep. 9—Two New Mexico men accused of selling "ghost guns" to a Drug Enforcement Administration's Dallas Division agent were charged with drug and gun crimes on Wednesday, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Texas.

Isaiah Dante Moreno, 25, and Elias Ignacio Sisneros, 22, allegedly sold an undercover task force officer four fully-automatic, AR-style firearms and a pound of THC wax in Lubbock, according to the release.

Moreno allegedly told the officer that he had helped manufacture the firearms, making them ghost guns, or unregistered firearms assembled from parts.

Moreno and Sisneros were arrested after the purchase and were found to have additional THC wax, two handguns, and the money received from the undercover agent, according to the release.

The pair were indicted for possession of unregistered firearms, possession of firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute THC and distribution of THC. If convicted, they could face life in federal prison.

Yesterday I seeded a story about a Rockland County NY, Deputy Mayor who was arrested based on a US Postal investigation

of illegal suppressors being shipped by mail to the accused person's home.

Upon searching the home they found a huge collection of ghost weapons many mounted with illegal suppressors.

The accused rather smugly tried to talk his way out of everything as if he knew NY law better than the DA, DHS and Postal Inspector

to the point of stating that as a "peace officer" he was entitled to possess a sawed of shotgun and (illegal) short barrelled AR15.

He requested a lawyer when investigators found dozens of fake FBI IDs in a lock box

Investigators also found a lockbox, which they opened after Downey said he did not have the combination.

"Inside the lock box, I located numerous federal badges and credentials," Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Daniel Suden said in the complaint. These included a Drug Enforcement Administration badge and badge holder; a U.S. marshals badge and holder; three FBI badges and badge holders; and three complete FBI credential sets, including two-part identification cards, with Downey's name and photo. Other credentials bore the imprints of the Federal Bureau of Prisons and the Department of Justice.

All of the badges and credentials "are not authentic and not issued under the proper authority," Suden said.

In addition to those items, investigators also found Downey's name and image on several New York Court Officer badges and IDs, resulting in a state charge of possessing a forged instrument.

These two at least went all they way full auto with their ghost guns. /S
