During this time of crisis, the conspiracy theorists among us come up with some of the most bizarre ideas to explain what is going on.

One such person is   preacher Perry Stone of Cleveland, Tennessee . During a prayer meeting at his church, Stone came up with a most curious reason for the COVID-19 virus hitting blue states the hardest:   their opposition to President Donald Trump .

Stone told his flock:

“What I am about to tell you is either the weirdest coincidence that has existed in many years, just totally by chance, or it’s a message of some kind. San Francisco is one of the first cities in the entire United States to actually go into self-quarantine — you know, you’ve got to stay off the street—and it is the district of a woman named Nancy Pelosi.”

Stone then sarcastically said, “Oh, that’s just a coincidence, preacher, you’re stupid.” He then continued his unhinged tirade:

“New York is probably getting ready to have a shut down, which is the area of Chuck Schumer. California, the Los Angeles area, I just got word there is a good possibility … they’re going to shut down. That’s the territory of a man named Adam Schiff, who spent years and millions of our taxpayer dollars on a lie that didn’t even exist.” “So is it coincidence? If it is, it’s a weird one. Isn’t a strange that the state [West Virginia] that voted Trump in by 68 percent, the biggest state that voted him in, has no virus?”

Of course, there is a perfectly reasonable explanation that the aforementioned cities are being hit so hard. It’s the same reason cities are banning large gatherings. This highly contagious virus spreads in clusters. These cities are huge, with large homeless populations and large numbers of people packed into densely populated urban areas.

Such environments are ripe for diseases to spread during a pandemic, which is what we are experiencing now.

If you needed any more proof that these people literally think Trump is some kind of god, and they are following him like a Jim Jones-style cult leader, here you have it.

Actually I've been thinking sabout this-- but I think its theopposite.

Trump and his evil henchmen on Fox News are constantly giving out information that basically says the Virus isn't nearly as bad as the media says it it. And that they are doing a great job containing it, etc So my guess is that Dear Leader's followers believe that-- and are less likely to take precautions. Therefore more of them will get the Virus.

OTOH on liberal media outlets they are telling the truth: warning of the dangers, how easily its spread, precautions to take. So many of their viewers will take it seriously and take precautions. Therefore there's a strong probability more of Trump's followers will get the disease....
