Paranormal Stories & Stuff FOR FUN

I figured I would start with a story from my past.

When I was very young we lived in aa old farmhouse that was very dark.  We weren't allowed to use the upstairs because of raccoons (or that is what my dad said).  So all of us (4 brothers, 1 sister, my parents & I) all slept downstairs.  There was a large kitchen, we used the dining room as the living room, we used the living room as my brothers' bedroom, my parents slept in the alcove off the kitchen, and my sister and I slept in the back room off of my brothers' room.  At night the noises over head were bothersome.  I am not sure if I am the only one that heard them, but I am the only one that said anything.  I was told it was raccoons.

One night I woke up and gazed out the doorway into my brothers' room.  There were no lights on so it was pitch black.  I noticed aset of glowing white hands gesturing from the darkness next to one of my brothers' beds.  They kept beckoning to me.  All I saw was hands.  I woke my sister (we shared a bed), but she didn't see anything.  She did get up and go out to look so I could go back to sleep.  All my brothers appeared to be asleep, but she told me it had to be one of them pulling a prank.  She let me sleep on her side of the bed furthest from the door so I could fall back to sleep.

That has stuck with me all these years.  And I have to say I have no clue as to how any of my brothers could have made their hands glow white.  It was the late 1960s so I am not sure what they could have put on their hands to cause that effect.

Just one of many strange things in my life.

May we share stories about UFOs, too?

Oh yes.  Those stories are welcome as well.  In fact - at the house I wrote about across the streets was a heavily wooded area & my sister swears she saw lights which she firmly believes was a UFO.

I like all those kinds of stories.

I will do a separate article and not take away from this one.

Got a question about the "raccoons". Where they the masked bandit types or were they more nefarious? Of course, I don't how much more nefarious you get with a masked bandit

To be honest I never saw any raccoons there.  I think my father said that so we wouldn't go upstairs and we wouldn't wonder what was making the noises.  If there were raccoons, they were definitely masked bandits... stuff disappeared all the time.

They don't exactly hide at my house. They're always coming up on the front porch looking for snacks.

There may have been something really nasty up there.

I drove by the place a couple years back.  It still creeped me out.  Run down, creeping vines - but people still lived there.

Maybe they were the escapees from the Amityville house

Naw, too far away - that was on Long Island - I am in Western NY - Finger Lakes Region (raccoons have little legs).  That house was near one of the smaller lakes - Canadice Lake.  Beautiful country, but I am sure that through the years a lot of blood spilled there.
