Paging the president?

It's not just chanting at sporting events and Trump rallies anymore. Calls of "Let's go Brandon" or "Empty Shelves Joe" are overtaking intercoms at airports, stores, and even school board meetings.

Someone requested a page for "Empty Shelves Joe" on Thursday at San Diego International Airport. That request was honored — and went viral, with almost 4,000 retweets of the video circulating.

"Airport paging 'Empty Shelves Joe,'" the woman on the intercom announced. "Please meet your party at [inaudible] baggage behind carousel six. Carousel six — passenger Empty Shelves Joe."

The "Empty Shelves Joe" trend emerged from the supply chain crisis caused by a backlog of shipping containers waiting to dock and unload on the West Coast. Some fear it could affect shipping and product prices as the holiday season impends.

TIKTOK RAPPER SAYS HIS ACCOUNT WAS FROZEN FOR 'BULLYING' AFTER 'LET'S GO BRANDON' VIDEO WENT VIRAL

The "Let's go Brandon" phrase originated when an NBC News reporter interviewed NASCAR star Brandon Brown post-race on Oct. 2. The crowd in the background can be heard yelling, "F*** Joe Biden," but the reporter said people were shouting, "Let's go Brandon."

Not even a Virginia school board meeting escaped the real-life trolling.

In a roll call of speakers at a Spotsylvania County School Board meeting, a board member listed off a few names, ending with "Lessco Brandon."

The crowd erupted in laughter, eventually chanting, "Let's go Brandon."

A Walmart employee also fell victim to the prank, as did Target, Ross, and PetSmart staff members.

"Attention customers: Can Lessco Brandon please come to the service desk at the front?" the Walmart employee asked on the store's intercom. "Lessco Brandon, please come to the service desk upfront. Thank you."

It's amazing how many hours there are in a winter day when an oil burner is running at $4.50 an hour.

Memes are fun but here is the real world and what is happening in the supply chain crunch. If you want to complain about LA/LB take a look around the world.

Florida has joined the series of regional ports in the United States seeking to catch the opportunity created by the ongoing congestion at primary seaports in the US. The Florida Ports Council (FPC) is aggressively promoting its fifteen public seaports as a possible solution to the backlogs at California and other seaports of the US.

I've seen that they would help for east coast ports, which is being done now, most to VA.

For ships on the WC it would be crazy to try that. They would have to go down through the Panama Canal they back up to the Southern Florida ports. Most of the FL ports cannot handle the mega ships nor do they have enough on dock rail. Discharging container bound for the WC would create a monster problem (costly) problem and the WC ramps are over capacity now.

The largest container ship to call a FL ports was 15,000 TEU's. The current mega ships are from 20,000 to 23,000 TEU's which require larger longer cranes and deeper draft for the vessels.

BTW there are services from the FE to the US EC including FL. But that is a  different trade with different rail contracts all the cargo has a final destination of the US EC.

The red fascists are gleeful about supply chain issues and inflation. The goal is to break the middle class while protecting their wealth. The weather changes so you need to do the moral thing and abandon your luxuries like good little peasants.
