Biden Falsely Claims He Cured Cancer: "We Ended Cancer As We Know It" (Video) - Rare

C'mon man.
President Joe Biden delivered a bizarre and confusing speech from the White House today. The speech was supposed to ironically center around access to mental health resources.

During the speech, Biden falsely claimed that he and his Administration have "ended cancer as we know it."
"If you could do anything at all Joe, what would you do? I said I'd cure cancer, and they looked at me like 'why cancer?' Because nobody thinks we can. That's why, and we can. We ended cancer as we know it!" Biden said.

Lying about cutting the deficit wasn't enough. Lying about the gas prices wasn't enough. Lying about inflation wasn't enough. Lying about Ukraine wasn't enough. Lying about Republicans wasn't enough. Biden has now actually stated, publicly, that he has cured cancer. What an absolute fantasyland this Administration is living in.
This moment follows a confusing speech that Biden delivered with Vice President Kamala Harris this morning. A confused Biden began his speech with a strange grin, telling the audience, "Before I say even more what's on my mind, I'm now gonna leave this podium."

This President is obviously lost. It is beyond time for the 25th Amendment!
No Trump in any way shape or form.
Stay on topic.
Joe needs more rest. 25th Amendment indeed has found its time.

Exactly, it’s past time to change the topic.
Ah yes, the topic a.k.a. a handy skirt to hide behind. Sorry but I have read far too much in my life to flippantly divorce the author from what he/she writes.
Exactly, he probably made all of this fake news up.
You tell me:
to hell with all this, we have to save kari lake
Kari Lake Suggests Hillary Clinton May Kill Her
Beats me.
Much ado about nothing, Hillary won’t leave her white enclave in Chappaqua NY or DC white enclave near Embassy Row for AZ.
And many more nonsense articles like that.
Exactly, Hillary doesn’t care about cheap trash like Lake. She has a separate net worth of around $140 million and an income of about $1M per month, not counting Bill’s money.
Lake is just among the little, despicable that Hillary sees at her feet.
Why are partisans so dead set on lying? One can tell the truth and be critical; and truthful criticism is far more effective than petty lies. There simply is no need to lie ... especially about such petty crap.
Here is the lie:
If one listens closely, this is what Biden actually stated:
Not only is this what he stated on the video, but it makes sense given the context since he was talking about what he would do if he could do anything.
Why did I take the time to listen closely? Because the lie does not make any sense.
The far right is going apeshit over this on twitter
Musk has made twitter practically unreadable .
The clip that the conservatives are showing is 12 seconds long. Why so short? My guess is because the rest of it doesnt support their nonsense.
Perhaps, but he has spoken of it for several years:
Why can't you accept the truth about Mr Mumbles. He's totally unfit to be president, let alone be elected. The only time Biden isn't lying and making shit up is if he's asleep or his lips aren't moving.
I have plenty of criticism for Biden.
The difference between you and me is that my criticism is based on verifiable facts. You, by virtue of your deflection, apparently are one who will propagate this demonstrable lie.
Why? What value does it bring anyone to propagate chickenshit lies? Focus on actual issues with Biden, not this petty partisan crap.
I have seen you say that many times. What I haven't seen is you actually doing it.
Then pay attention.
I watched his mouth move and listened closely several times. I think it can go either way depending on what you expect too hear. If Joe would learn how to annunciate and not mumble and also didn't have the tendency to do and say things that don't make sense we would not be having this discussion.
"Enunciate" makes much more sense in this context than "annunciate" does.
I stand corrected. Interesting, my third grade teacher was named Sandy. [removed]
If that is your view, then why would you not go with the enunciation that makes sense given the context? Why leap to that which makes no sense in or out of the context?
A little bit of forest for the trees going on here.
No, it is a lot of blind partisanship going on.
It is counterproductive to engage in petty partisan criticism that is demonstrably a lie.
As I noted, Biden has plenty of things for which one could legitimately criticize him. These petty, dishonest criticisms dilute the impact of genuine criticism. Further, it degrades the credibility of those who attack with dishonest, petty criticism.
Yep, in this case it is not a clear cut lie. As I said he may have said either thing. 50/50 as to what he said. Maybe he would get the benefit of the doubt if he had a track record of coherency.
I think credibility ceased to be a concern for many partisans a long time ago.
When something can go 50/50, most objective people will go with the interpretation that makes the most sense with the rest of the sentences in context. Especially if the context is clear and concise.
Biden was asked what he would do if he could do anything. A question about the future if given unlimited powers.
He stated that he would end cancer as we (currently) know it. An absolutely straightforward logical answer about the future given the question.
Yet you think it is a 50/50 shot that he actually answered: "we ended cancer as we know it". That does not even answer the question on futures, but rather makes a statement of an accomplishment already made. On top of that, it would be an outrageous claim since everyone knows that cancer has not already been ended as we know it. Further it is a oft stated objective by Biden to work to end cancer as we know it.
Blind partisanship can cause people to hold as true many things that are false.
Not to mention see things that are not there and not see things right in front of their faces. But at least they are amusing....up to a point. Then they get a little boring.
Such as? You keep making that type of comment but never give any samples.
Okay, arkpdx, you made two comments in this article and both of them were personal, taunting and meta. You are (as always) deflecting from the point I made @2.
My comment history is public. If you have not seen me criticize Biden on Afghanistan, spending, tuition, ... illegal immigration, etc. state that he should not run, too old, etc. then that is your own failure.
In short, get a clue.
Yep, Trump's windmills caused cancer and now Biden has ended it.
By tilting at them?
I don't know much about cancer, but I thought that it was a broad term for hundreds of different diseases. The commonalty across these different diseases is uncontrolled cell growth. The causes of this unrestricted growth varies greatly for these different diseases.
In most cases, many mutations are needed to form a tumor; these can be inherited or come about during cell division or through environmental exposures.
I think that oncologists see around ten different types of lung cancer alone. If this is true, there won't be one big bang cure for cancer, but more likely many different little improvements
But then again, I didn't think that one man could invent the internet until Al Gore proved me wrong.
Cancer is, in essence, the growth of abnormal cells. Logically, if we could detect an abnormal cell and kill it (or at least prevent it from reproducing), we could cure all forms of cancer.
Maybe some day with nanobot technology.
Currently, many different treatments continue to be refined and new ones added. I think that is because different cancers respond to different treatments, Treating some cancers are more complicated due to the different physiology of people, their metabolism, how the tumor is supplied with blood. Also different tumors have different physiology and some change over time.
Mine required two different chemo cocktails given in two different cycles, extensive surgery and a heated chemo bath circulated and sloshed for 90 minutes in my opened abdomen,
Gee, if my doctors only knew.
Mine too
Exactly, tell your oncologist to just wait a few months for your cure.
Joe Biden hasn't changed since his 1972 Senate campaign. Biden has always made outrageous claims that were shrugged off as gaffes. Since Biden has always been a 'trickle down' Democrat he certainly can't be a liar.
