Sunset in Virginia
Sometimes, I get lucky. There is something about the way the sun hits the tree-tops at the end of the day, especially when there are dark clouds in the background. I grabbed my Nikon Coolpix camera and got a few decent shots before the sun went down. These were taken at about 6:08 - 6:10 PM today (27 March 2013).
These were taken through the sliding glass door that opens onto our balcony; I've found that holding the camera against the glass eliminates the jiggle and resulting blurry pictures when I use the zoom function. I really have to get a tripod... but until I do, that glass door serves a useful purpose!
