Rep. Garcia says it's time to bring actual weapons to fight Trump admin
California Democratic Rep. Robert Garcia on Wednesday said that Americans want them to 'bring actual weapons' in their fight against President Donald Trump.
California Rep. Robert Garcia said the Democratic Party now needs to "bring actual weapons" in the "fight for democracy."
Garcia went viral on Wednesday after mocking Tesla CEO and Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head Elon Musk during the first House DOGE subcommittee hearing.
Garcia, who is a member of the subcommittee, displayed a large picture of Musk, referring to it as a "d--- pic."

In the follow-up to the hearing, Garcia defended his words on "CNN News Central" by saying Americans want him to go further.
"I think [Musk is] also harming the American public in an enormous way," Garcia said. "And what I think is really important and what the American public want is for us to bring actual weapons to this bar fight. This is an actual fight for democracy, for the future of this country."
Garcia also bluntly stood by his stunt when asked how effective it could be.
"Do you think that calling Elon Musk a d--- is effective messaging for confronting what is a potentially irreversible transformation of the U.S. government?" CNN host Brianna Keilar asked.
"Well, he is a d---," Garcia replied.

Some congressional Democrats have been using increasingly violent rhetoric to protest President Donald Trump and Musk.
During a Baltimore rally on Monday, Maryland Democratic Rep. Kweisi Mfume pushed the idea of a "street fight" against DOGE.
"This will be a congressional fight, a constitutional fight, a legal fight, and on days like this a street fight, yes we will stand," Mfume said.
In January, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., also called for Democrats to fight Trump's agenda "in the streets."

"Right now, we're going to keep focus on the need to look out for everyday New Yorkers and everyday Americans who are under assault by an extreme MAGA Republican agenda that is trying to cut taxes for billionaires, donors, and wealthy corporations and then stick New Yorkers and working-class Americans across the country with the bill," Jeffries said. "That's not acceptable. We are going to fight it legislatively. We are going to fight it in the courts. We're going to fight it in the streets."

Somebody should charge this stupid fucking asshole with inciting a violent resurrection. hopefully he will be the first to pay for his stupidity.
Trump has brought out the crazy and violent in House democrats. Every day they get more unhinged.
LOL
... not now.
Yea......
"Peacefully and patriotically"....dems- Insurrection call. Hair on fire for 4 years
"Bring actual weapons to fight DOGE".....dems- Meh
Well that shows how fucked in the head Fox is and that you shouldn't ever believe what they tell you because that statement is a lie. They even link the full quote later in the seed which is "Rep. Robert Garcia, D-Calif., told CNN's Brianna Keilar that what the "American public want is for us to bring actual weapons" to their fight for democracy."
So, did he actually say "the Democratic Party now needs to "bring actual weapons" in the "fight for democracy."? Did he advocate for the bringing of weapons anywhere in that statement? Of course not, but that won't stop the slimy bigots from lying about it. That's all they have are lies and the filth of their disgusting immoral convicted felon President to look up to. If you're looking up to a convicted felon, liar, cheat and accused rapist then clearly you're way down in the gutter.
What does one bring to a space laser fight?
a big mirror ...
Republicans showed up to a battle of wits completely unarmed. That's why they ridicule higher education and facts which for some reason are never on their side. They prefer supporting conspiracy theories and religious fiction that they try and force on everyone around them.
Well there's one thing you should never bring to a space laser fight!
You know the olde saying:
Never bring an electric knife to a space laser fight!!!
But do bring a blue tarp...
I found this chart interesting which splits the conspiracy theorists by ideology:
Are Republicans and Conservatives More Likely to Believe Conspiracy Theories? - PMC
I remember when a few Republicans cried "tyranny" when being disarmed at checkpoints with metal detectors at the Capitol.
They got really quiet about it after the January 6th rioters at the Capitol.
Republicans just want performative "freedom" and deny everything they do that's wrong or against the law.
Remember the enormous scandal when Obama wore a tan suit?
But if you look at Trump and his administration and appointees, they have convictions, sex scandals, documented fraud and abuse, and they are openly using Musk and DOGE to steal American taxpayer dollars to raise the debt ceiling and pass over 4 TRILLION $ Dollars in Bush style repeat tax cuts for the wealthy.
Linda McMahon is up for confirmation and her husband openly admits paying off sex scandals so numerous he had to resign. She was part of it all. She is up for the U.S. Department of Education ready to collect a taxpayer salary admitting she us just going to SHUT IT DOWN!
Yet Republican voters fail to see the enormous waste in this ludicrous performative nonsense.
Why pay her tax dollars to shut it down? Isn't that what Musk is getting taxpayer dollars for?
Somebody needs to stand up for the American people and it sure isn't any Republicans.
That's why democrats are so overwhelming overrepresented in the military because those fucking cowards are so willing to stand up for the American people.
You would never disarage the service of Democrats, would you?
Which is the reason Democrats won the last Presidential election./S
People either don't answer polls; or lie.
Given with who was CoC when this poll was taken I would go with lying.
I remember a couple of elections ago if someone identified as a republican to a survey caller, that person would be subject to harassment and threats.
That is why Republicans usually do not answer these polls anymore.
One of his own graphs indicates "due to small sample size".
Mostly by democrat respondents.
Along with that graph and relevancy, looks as though the "data" is 2 1/2 years old.
Sick burn.
Yea because doing things like that on the Hose floor is sooooooooooo mature.
And before you start with the whatabouts, I didn't like it when MTG did it either.
Listen, I think it would be lovely if our elected officials were polite, respectful models of mature behavior all the time. But they’re, not and - as a group - never have been. When it happens today, everyone is sanctimoniously pearl clutching and aghast. But when we look back on it from a century later, we chuckle. As these things go, I thought this was relatively clever, at least.
Calling for actual weapons to a government agency is not "clever". It was threatening and if it were a republican, you and your friends would be screeching at the top of their lungs to have that person expelled from Congress and have him arrested for threatening speech.
I didn’t say it was. That has not been mentioned in the thread I started at @4. Did you forget what we were talking about? Or are you wishing to change the subject?
OK you're right. I was also posting on another seed.
However, don't you remember the left's meltdown after MTG posted a pic of Hunter Biden
Oh, the outrage and faux poutrage we heard.
Marjorie Taylor Greene sparks outrage by showing explicit photos of Hunter Biden at congressional hearing
I don’t pay a lot of attention to MTG. She doesn’t seem worth it. But I do get that whatever she did was foundational to the joke. Comedy loves a good callback.
maybe in grade school.
Nah. Grade schoolers wouldn’t appreciate the nuance underpinning this burn. It required a knowledge of past events, leveraged the technique of unexpected humor, was a little raunchy, and burned two people at the same time. I figure immature minds like that wouldn’t appreciate or understand the comic craft employed here.
Come on, look at who made the comment. It's grade school level shit and you know it.
A member of Congress.
Just repeating your position with the addendum “and you know it” doesn’t make it more persuasive.
[✘] If you need something to compare it to, I offer you pretty much any insult that Trump has ever made. His insults tend to be grade school level. They aren’t thoughtful and clever. He just reaches into a bag of negative adjectives or random accusations and they have nothing to do with anything.
Just today, in response to Mitch McConnell voting against RFK, Trump questioned whether or not he ever had polio. Like, what? What does that have to do with anything? His insults are either total non sequiturs like that or just dull. Sleepy Joe. Crooked Hillary. Crazy Nancy. Or he just calls people Nasty. Yawn!
Pocahontas was a good burn, for a while, but he then he used it too much and it wasn’t funny anymore. You can overdue a thing.
is that supposed to mean they are educated? Some of them are blithering idiots. It also falls right in with the lefts odd obsession with peoples gentiles.
what a moronic comment ...

It’s not supposed to mean anything. He’s a member of Congress. It’s a simple fact.
You’re the one who asked me to look at who made the comment. I did. If you had some ad hominem point you wanted to make, perhaps you should make it yourself and not rely on me to make it for you.
Apparently hMcConnell actually did have Polio, but recovered. (I used to think that if someone got Polio in those days, death from polio was certain. But then I met a guy who got it as a kid-- and totally recovered).
It's hilarious that all these people crying over DOGE and their activities and NONE of them are accusing DOGE of lying.
It is hypocritical of the thieves crying about the person who is pointing out their theft.
I have. I hear a lot of accusations from Trump and Musk, but not much in the way of evidence. Additionally, their behavior speaks to the sketchy nature of their accusations. For example, we keep hearing about waste, fraud, and corruption. Those are crimes. Why is no one being prosecuted? Why aren’t Republicans in Congress exposing this fraud and corruption with evidence for the public to review? Is it maybe because those accusations aren’t true? What happened to the party of law and order?
