An Afghan national on the FBI terror watchlist was apprehended at the U.S. southern border near San Diego last week, officials confirmed on Sunday.

San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond said the arrest took place Wednesday after the Afghani attempted to cross the border alongside a group of migrants near Otay Mesa just days before the expiration of the Trump-era Title 42 policy.

Through March at least 70 foreigners on the terrorist watchlist were apprehended at the border since the start of the federal 2023 fiscal year, the fastest place on record.

"This should serve as a stark reminder to President Biden and the Federal Government on the critical need for maintaining a strong border," he added.

Rep Darrell Issa, R-Calif., said President Joe Biden and his policies are to blame for the latest terrorist capture.

"Biden's open borders aren't just a gateway to 5 million illegals, record human and child trafficking, and the deadliest drug crisis in our history. Biden's reckless policy is also an open invitation to even the most wanted terrorists in the world to come to America," Issa said.

70 terrorists caught.  Makes me wonder how many made it through because of Geriatric Joe's Open Border Policy.

Maybe none.  I'm more concerned with the terrorists who are already living here.

Oh, well, then maybe a few dozen foreign terrorists sneaking over isn't really a big deal.

Google the number of got aways at border- they aren't catching them all by any stretch of the imagination.

I'm more concerned with the terrorists who are already living here.

I am more concerned with our current administration, FBI, DOJ that spends all of it's time going after Jan 6th rioters for such petty charges as "parading"; parents for having the audacity of questioning the education their children are receiving; and political opponents for anything and everything.

Is it going to take another 9/11 for these mighty mental midgets to learn their lessons?

All U.S. extremist mass killings in 2022 linked to far right, report says

Yeah, that's total bullshit and you know it.  Where are the mentions of the trans community's shootings (where your beloved men pretending to be women carried out the shooting)? Weren't there 3 or 4 of them in the past few months?

Yeah, that's total bullshit and you know it.

Then prove it.  Your response of basically "uh uh" doesn't not provide a factual argument.  Don't like the report, refute it with facts, or admit you don't have any facts and just don't like what the report says.

YOUR link proves it.

It completely ignores the trans community's shootings.  Isn't that one of the groups favored by the left wing moon bats?

I do not know the exact amount but I know several on the watchlist have been caught trying to get through in the Yuma and Tucson Sectors in Southern Arizona. There are two  border crossings in Cochise County at Douglas and Naco. Another at Nogales in Santa Cruz County. The other is in Yuma.

Unless there is actual enforcement we will never know.

“Unless there is actual enforcement we will never know.”

And no administration has had the balls to do so. Until we, collectively, demand more, it will remain more of the same.

There was progress being made right up until Geriatric Joe took office.  Hell, we were making good progress in a lot of areas until he took office.  Then it all went to shit.

Problem is that Santa Cruz County is sandwiched between Yuma and Cochise Counties on the border. Santa Cruz County has declared itself a "Sanctuary County" for illegals and refuses to apprehend or allow city police and sheriff deputies to assist CBP in the performance of their duties and the cartels know it and take full advantage of it. The local farmers and ranchers detest the mayor of Nogales and protect themselves rather than rely on the leftist liberal sheriff who echos the mayors  and county board of supervisor's views.

Joe Biden has been a disaster regarding the border, and Harris is a do-nothing idiot.
