A federal appeals court on Wednesday blocked the Biden administration's efforts to remove razor wire that was put up by Texas officials along its border with Mexico.

State officials sued the administration last year after Border Patrol agents were ordered to cut the wired fencing in Eagle Pass, that was implemented as part of Gov. Greg Abbott's border security mission, Operation Lone Star.

The Biden administration argued that it had sovereign immunity and later claimed the wire had impeded federal efforts to rescue two illegal immigrants who drowned at the beginning of the year, while the appeals process played out. But Texas has disputed the argument that the fencing harmed efforts to save the migrants, according to CNN.

The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals rejected the administration's arguments on sovereign immunity on Wednesday, and agreed with a lower court's ruling that the state's actions "had only a marginal effect on Border Patrol's access and had nothing to do with the drownings."

The ruling was issued in a 2-1 vote, with Judge Irma Carrillo Ramirez, who was appointed by President Joe Biden, dissenting.

The Biden administration argued that it had sovereign immunity

They argued this but did nothing to close the border.  In fact they sued Texas to have the border opened.

You know, they will tell you to death that Trump is a bad man, and he may be, but Jan 6th didn't have a fraction of the negative effect Biden and the Dems had on our country with their open border policy. In a fair and just US, Biden would have been impeached for the border and more. It simply boggles the mind that anyone could believe Biden's presidency has been more beneficial for our country than Trump's.

The sad thing about this whole thing, he beat them at their own game.  Twice.  But then again the Democrats running a bottom of the candidate in 2016 and a clueless clown this cycle didn't help.  Trump isn't playin by THEIR rules and they threw one massive temper tantrum that continues today.  And for the same reasons.

It simply boggles the mind that anyone could believe Biden's presidency has been more beneficial for our country than Trump's.

Remember, in 2017 the handouts they were enjoying stopped.  The cheap labor became hard to find.  They knew Biden's mental abilities were diminishing but knew Harris would be far worse.

Concerning that, I think there's a lot of establishment Republicans on that same bandwagon, although with the exception of Cheney and a couple like her, they express it differently. And that is what appeals to so many Americans. They see Trump as not simply anti-Dem, but anti-establishment.

Trump has put together a pretty eclectic cabinet and it seems they have a lot of plans to try to change the establishment or to pull as many of its teeth as they can, or so I hope. Problem is, there is more money than I think any of us little people really understand behind that establishment; a global amount of it. A lot of people think Kenedy was assassinated because he was screwing with that paradigm. I really hope someone is vetting his Secret Service people with that in mind.

That's right, the Biden administration wanted the border open and used the power vested in the federal government to enforce immigration law to not enforce the law. Now things have changed, and the incoming administration intends to enforce the law and will be working with the state of Texas on behalf of all Americans.

And there is this from the Washington Post:

Texas is gearing up in a big way for Trump’s mass deportation campaign

Texas has set the example of what to do for deportations

Trump’s border czar pick supports using Texas ranch for mass deportations

The Texas General Land Office is offering President-elect Donald Trump a 1,400-acre Starr County ranch as a site to build detention centers for his promised mass deportations of undocumented immigrants,  according to a letter  the office sent him Tuesday.

Great idea. I heard someone mention it yesterday.

Maybe we could name it Deportation Area 1.

One of the best things about Trump's win is fewer judges like Irma Carrillo Ramirez,
